PP, if it's a chutney society convention then you'll probably see my mum there. She also gave me a jar of plum ketchup on my last visit which was amazing. I was using it on everything, cheese sandwiches, sausages etc.

Kewcumber · 29/04/2010 09:40

silver it is indeed an adopters free for all!

I would expect us to be out later than 9pm (oh the excitement - be still my beating heart!) even if it's just me propping the bar up...

Recipe Bran, recipe...

oh yes, do come along silver i will be out til 11pm come hell or high water ( well until I can board my train)

PheasantPlucker · 29/04/2010 10:51

Bran, that sounds delish! I made some rather disastrous plum and rhubard stuff which I am currently bunging in curries/pasta sauces/cleaning products which remove limescale rather than waste it, as it is not taking those that consume it into heavenly delights......!

Kewcumber · 29/04/2010 20:20

I don't actually drink much - people just think I've been drinking when I start on "I love you, I do"

Silver1 · 29/04/2010 21:44

If I can make it-and I do need to check some things first I wont have to bring a chutney will I?

KristinaM · 06/05/2010 15:53

so is anyone else coming along then? I am really excited about my day at Chelsea and a-mums night out - I need something to cheer me up (anticipating dire election result )

Kewcumber · 06/05/2010 16:31

So far:

KristinaM
Kewcumber
Bran (or some other more irish name)
Hifi
PheasantPlucker with chutney at some point
Silver1? (withoutchutney)

OP posts:
hifi · 06/05/2010 17:15

where shall we go?

Kewcumber · 07/05/2010 00:07

there are some nice places in Kew...

OP posts:
KristinaM · 07/05/2010 10:53

not burger king AGAIN please

Silver1 · 08/05/2010 01:21

withoutchutney-hmm could be a good user name

Should all be fine, getting quite excited now.

Silver1 · 11/05/2010 22:41

So where are we meeting? I am 90% certain I can come. If it is Kew I shall drive, and therefore be unable to prop up the bar.

PheasantPlucker · 13/05/2010 12:52

Hi, not been on for a bit, as a parent to a child with SEN and disabilities I have been avoiding MN due to some of the views being expressed, blah blah blah. (not here)

I am sure I will get over it all, and come. Just feeling a bit raw at the mo.

Best wishes to you all.

Silver1 · 13/05/2010 22:35

PheasantPlucker sorry to hear that. MN can be a mixture of support and catty behaviour, but there are lots of supportive people about.

Kewcumber · 13/05/2010 22:56

Slight wrinkle - I have to go into hospital for an on two days later and won't be able to eat. Plan to come anyway and either bring what little I can eat with me or eat before hand and join you for a drink.

OP posts:
KristinaM · 13/05/2010 23:02

KC - sorry about op - are you up to going out?

PP - i have missed any nastiness about SN kids ( just as well), sorry to hear you have been upset

Kewcumber · 13/05/2010 23:46

yes I should be fine Alkthough ravenous op is on my stomach so need to be on an odd diet before hand. Forgive me if I start eyeing up the furniture longingly or start chewing my handbag...

SORRY pp- I tend not to even read the contentious threads these days but some just poke you in your soft spot don;t they.

OP posts:
Silver1 · 14/05/2010 15:09

Kewcumber- would an evening out cheer you up, or would you rather postpone until you can have a leg of chicken rather than a leg of chair?

Kewcumber · 14/05/2010 23:28

oh no I am discovering that leg of chair is quite nice with a bit of balsamic vinegar. Can;t delay - KritinaM only graces us with her presence once a year...

OP posts:
hifi · 14/05/2010 23:41

shall we move it forward? rather everone had a good time.Need time to press gang pheasant plucker anyway.

Kewcumber · 14/05/2010 23:58

nooooooooooooooooooooo - Kristina only here that day!

OP posts:
KristinaM · 15/05/2010 21:54

sorry to be so inflexible - train & RHS Chelsea tickets already booked

Silver1 · 18/05/2010 12:58

So where are we meeting? I am ever so optimistic about being able to go now.

KristinaM · 18/05/2010 14:14

i am expecting you Londoners to come up with some fab inexpensive place to eat
