Of course it's not ok to do drugs in front of kids, nor is it ok to care for kids while under the influence of drugs but there's no evidence of either. Hopefully someone will help her to help herself and her kids. Hopefully people will work with her rather than against her. Hopefully she will cpntinue to have custody of her kids if she sorts herself out or is given help to.

she is a grown woman and is responsible for her own actions, fucked-up childhood or not

lots of people have horrific abusive terrifying childhoods

some manage to buck their ideas up and put their own children first, others sadly not

I won't pretend I understand the mechanism or what determines who does and who doesn't

but as a mother - not as a person, I would never say that, but as the mother of those children - she is beyond redemption. They need to be removed once and for all and placed with someone who can take proper long-term stable care of them, put their needs first and help them to heal and grow past what has happened in their lives, so that it diesn't all happen again for them. If there's a blood relative who can play that role, great. If there isn't, they should be in care with a view to being put up for adoption or at least a long-term foster home IMO

Kerry always bangs on about her terrible childhood and how she watched her own mum take drugs and how this upset her, and here she is doing the same..........she is selfish...and why she keeps having kids is beyond me........

I think we will have to agree to disagree Anyfucker. I don't think blaming him excuses her, its just a realistic appraisal of the situation.

If she can get rid of him, she might stand a better chance of getting her life back on track.

Haggis, if only it were that simple. you wouldn't expect someone in a wheelchair to run a marathon? so why be so harsh about someone who grew up in such horrible circumstances and has probably never had anyone who loved her and looked after her, expect possibly her foster parents, but it was too little too late by then.

Its really sad all round for her and for her children. But I don't think she is doing this because she is 'lazy' or 'doens't love her children'. I just don't think she knows any other way to be, which is a tragedy and not something I think should earn her a verbal kicking from anyone.
