Its in America but FFS !! for people who don't know much about rollercoasters and why the lawsuits are so dubious, the X2 peaks at 4 G's which is average for a rollercoaster (they range from 3 G to 6 G) so if 4 G's was causing brain bleeds almost EVERY rollercoaster would

Sad times where people can get anything "cancelled" or taken down through pure greed alone if you don't like rollercoasters don't ride em period !!

looking forward to fairs where all youre allowed to legally ride is the teacups !! NOT

Six Flags Closes X2 Coaster After Brain Injuries

Two riders suffered brain hemorrhages six days apart, prompting Six Flags Magic Mountain to end the iconic coaster's turbulent 24-year history.

It does say there were dozens of serious injuries and hospitalisations.

Safety rules and laws and bans are written in blood so to speak, stemming from accidents and injuries that lead to the bans and rules. If you want to go on a dangerous ride, go ahead.

The ride peaks at 4 G's...

If 4 G's caused brain bleeds, nearly every single other rollercoaster would be causing brain bleeds since 4 G's falls flat in the average for a rollercoaster since they range from 3 G's to 6 ...

The claims don't stand up to basic scrutiny .. also, pre-existing conditions exist .. many people live with aneurysms that could go off randomly any minute .. but blaming a rollercoaster is more in fashion than blaming bad genes !!

Nobody has banned rollercoasters. The ride owners have decided to close it themselves. Why do you think that it's been banned?

Yes, it’s the owners of the rides who are closing it. Did you even read the article before posting?

Then it won’t be the fact that the ride hits 4G then will it? It’ll be some other factor that makes it dangerous.

Why are you frothing about this?

This is just the start of a new "cancel culture" ... they closed under sheer pressure .. first they banned people who spoke out against having biological males in women's sports, now they're wanting to ban rollercoasters because they're suddenly too "intense" and not just that, they actually want money for their complaints ..

Some people live such easy lives they have to find ridiculous things to get annoyed about.

Nobody is banning them. You are spouting untruths.

The lawyers and neurologist's are blaming the G's ...

Then that aspect should be easy to defend if the force is no different from other coasters.

Rollercoasters range from 3 G's to 6 ... at 4 G's X2 is average .. they didn't even go after a rollercoaster that's actually very intense , one that peaks at 6 G's .. instead they went for one with average G forces which would mean every other rollercoaster would be causing brain bleeds which conveniently gives them a case for cancelling every other rollercoaster out there !!

This is hilarious 😂

Explain why every other rollercoaster isn't causing these fatal brain bleeds given 4 G's is what most rollercoasters peak at ... just the X2 .. which logically makes no sense !!

Yeah you said. And if this is the case then something else has presumably caused the unexpected injuries.

Or there are sections of the ride where the g-force is far higher than that.

Why are you posting though? Coasters aren’t being banned. One ride has shut down due to unexplained injuries. That’s sensible surely.

Because I can see this being the start of a new cancel culture .. let's make up claims we were injured by a ride we thought was too intense and get them to close it down through sheer pressure ..

they just don't want people having fun anymore , they want people to live boring , watered down lives with no differences in opinion !!

Because if 4 G's truly did cause fatal brain bleeds every other rollercoaster would since 4 G's is average for a rollercoaster .. so what are they gonna do when they find that most rollercoasters peak at 4 G just like the X2 , ban every rollercoaster?

OP posts:

Who are these mysterious "they" people?

You are conflating and exaggerating several different issues. And misunderstanding US culture around law suits and safety.

The people that sued "went after" the X2 ride because that's the one that they or their dead family member actually went on.

Who are ‘they’? You just sound like a conspiracy theorist now.

America is a litigious country. Were you not aware of that? Did you ever wonder why cups of coffee from Maccies have the ‘contains hot liquid’ warning?

They meaning the people who want everything they dont like cancelled .. remember when people were being shut down for pointing out that biological men have an advantage over women in sports ?
