Its in America but FFS !! for people who don't know much about rollercoasters and why the lawsuits are so dubious, the X2 peaks at 4 G's which is average for a rollercoaster (they range from 3 G to 6 G) so if 4 G's was causing brain bleeds almost EVERY rollercoaster would

Sad times where people can get anything "cancelled" or taken down through pure greed alone if you don't like rollercoasters don't ride em period !!

looking forward to fairs where all youre allowed to legally ride is the teacups !! NOT

Six Flags Closes X2 Coaster After Brain Injuries

Two riders suffered brain hemorrhages six days apart, prompting Six Flags Magic Mountain to end the iconic coaster's turbulent 24-year history.

Play silly games win silly prizes.

No one needs to be spun around at 3G's or more to impress someone but if you want to bust brain cells for fun, you still can. As you say fairgrounds are a great place to find low regulated death machines, and they've not been "banned" despite the many accidents. You might also want a trampoline that you let your kids go on in socks, on a damp day. Playing in roads might be advisable.

If 3 or 4 G's caused brains to burst , every other rollercoaster would do so , not just the X2 ... that alone should make anyone suspicious of the claims !!

How long will it be before op starts calling everyone whos speaking sense 'sheeple'.

I've also got my daily quota of how to squeeze the trans issue into absolutely every unrelated topic going, this one was impressive. Thanks op.

First it'll be rollercoasters ... then it'll be merry go rounds and teacup rides and eventually they'll snuff out every other means of having fun all while cancelling you for having opinions you dont like .. you'll have no fun or original thoughts and will be happy .

First they came for the rollercoasters… Sad

SmallDFartyCarNRG · 05/10/2026 11:24

Is this "an original thought"?
Digs for the bar...

Who is the "they" in this context?

I imagine people frothed like this when seatbelts were made mandatory in cars - weird

ChocolateCroissantCafe · 05/10/2026 11:30

I think you maybe need to read around this one a bit, there's more to it. Nobody is banning rollercoasters, but this particular rollercoaster has been linked to a string of deaths and serious injuries. The theme park presumably don't want to keep opening themselves up to lawsuits or having accidents on their premises either, they'll surely want a reputation as a fun day out with rides you can trust. Loads of coasters don't have that kind of track record, so aren't being shelved.

This is just the start of a new "cancel culture" ... they closed under sheer pressure .. first they banned people who spoke out against having biological males in women's sports, now they're wanting to ban rollercoasters because they're suddenly too "intense" and not just that, they actually want money for their complaints ..

That escalated quickly. 😂

One rollercoaster is retired after reports of serious brain injuries and somehow, three sentences later, you’re onto trans people in sport.

Nobody has “banned rollercoasters”. A theme park has closed one ride due to multiple serious injury claims.

Whatever your views on trans participation in sport, it has absolutely nothing to do with with this.

Not everything you disagree with is “cancel culture”. Sometimes a rollercoaster is just a rollercoaster. 🎢 and this one appears to be dangerous.

I’d heard whispers about the teacups, but I didn’t realise the merry-go-rounds were already compromised.

Thoughts and prayers with the dodgems. 🎠😂

Incase this helps you realise that they dont shut things for fun op, and that it cannot be explained by G force alone. Like a lot of things multiple factors can play a part to create something dangerous:

Mechanical Forces and Design

  • Rapid Acceleration-Deceleration: The ride reaches speeds up to 76 mph with extreme, abrupt changes in velocity.
  • 360-Degree Rotation: Independent rotating seats flip riders continuously in multi-dimensional paths.
  • Aggressive Elements: Maneuvers like "raven turns" (half-loops dropping midway) create intense, disorienting angular and rotational forces. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

🧠 Medical Explanations

Over 100 riders report brain injuries from US rollercoaster

More than 100 riders allege brain injuries after riding Six Flags’ X2 roller coaster in the past two years, according to attorneys.

It’s all because Muslims are more vulnerable to G forces and everything is being changed to suit them. It’s Sharia law……

blacksax · 05/10/2026 11:37

Some might say there has to be something wrong with your brain to want to ride on one of those things anyway.

If this rollercoaster was truly dangerous then every other rollercoaster would be since the X2 is not particularly high in G forces in fact it's average at 4 G's .. there are rollercoasters that go up to bloody 6 G's so how come they aren't causing brain bleeds? oops i just tore a hole into the whole thing ..

The lawyers and the neurologist are blaming the Gs but Janette knows better?!

Just because something has been deemed safe for a longgggggg time doesn’t mean that when it’s proved not to be safe that the evidence is just wrong!

Imagine if they’d realised the dangers of the radium they used to put in beauty products but just decided the evidence was wrong?

Op, do you accept that this particular rollercoaster was injuring people due to it's design?
Do you accept that going on a ride at your own risk is for those who have known medical conditions? Do you realise that a rollercoaster isn't meant to injure you otherwise? You are meant to have fun, not leave with catastrophic injuries, and who knows how many others were affected.

Fatalities

  • Christopher Hawley (22): A San Diego State University graduate who rode X2 in 2022, collapsed, and died the following day from blunt-force head trauma and severe brain bleeding. Six Flags recently settled a wrongful death lawsuit with his family. 1, 2]

⚖️ Major Brain Injury Lawsuits Filed

The lawsuits claim that the ride's unique "fourth-dimension" design—where seats spin 360 degrees independently while travelling up to 76 mph—exposes riders to extreme, unregulated rotational forces that twist and tear blood vessels inside the skull.

Not irate , just fed up with cancel culture and I can see how this is going to open up a new wave of people deciding they don't like a ride and they can get money for writing fake complaints about it . eventually fairs will be a thing of the past !!
