Liquorice Allsorts

Are you a fan?
I've just bought a bag on a whim!
I only like the round pink and yellow coconut ones, and the spogs.
Any takers for the rest of the bag 😂
Which ones are your favourite?

Im not but my grandad adores them and home bargains are currentley doing a selection box of them

We would be perfectly matched because I only like the little sandwiches and the liquorice logs and usually just throw the rest away.

I hate the coconut ones but love the square ones - particularly the brown

Has anyone tried Nordic liquorice?
My sister and I bought some when in Copenhagen.
OMG, it was like eating a mouthful of salt.
Couldn't eat it!

I haven't had any for ages, I like the big cubes that are white candy stuff and liquorice stripes, and I like the ones that are a sort of liquorice tube with a candy centre (do they still do those?) I don't particularly like coconut so I won;t fight you for the pink and yellow ones !
You can buy bags of just spogs I think if you like those best.

DH loves the hard salty liquorice - the fish shaped ones.

I love the coconut ones too, plus the sandwich shapes ones and the bobbly ones. I think that just leaves the black tubes.

When I was a little girl (about 200 years ago) we used to get for Christmas a liquorice smokers set, with candy cigarettes, a liquorice pipe and various other bits of edible smoking paraphanalia, I loved them. Obviously not really suitable to give to children but it was the olden days and I was a candy cigarette 20 a day girl.

I love any liquorice but the salty stuff is just weird!

My people - I am in! I like most of them actually, except the coconut. I put a few dishes of them around the room during our Christmas party last year! They looked so retro - the old fogies had a fond sigh and the younger crowd were curious. They seem a bit marmite though - people are in or out!

Used to love the liquorice pipes - or the wheels so you would spend ages unravelling them like spaghetti and then finish with the spog in the middle

i miss the penny sweets at the newsagents back in the 80’s and 90’s! Love aniseed balls too

i always take the pink and yellow off and eat the liquorice middle. Other than that I’ll happily eat the lot!

Never knew they were called spogs!! I loathe those, the square brown ones are my favourite.

I always buy a bag of liquorice allsorts when we go to the cinema as I know I won’t have to share them with anyone!

I love them.
Favourite is the coconut rounds but there are none I don't like.
Aldi's used to do a good rip off, but they seem to have changed, so I'm back to Bassetts. Yum!

I'm also celiac and I so miss liquorice! Center Parcs (oddly enough) sold lovely gluten free liquorice but it’s a bit of an expensive way to get it!

Didn't know you could still get them! Do they taste the same? So many things no longer look or taste like they used to.

Also sherbet fountains, sherbet dipdabs, flying saucers, blackjacks, those long shoelace things - forgotten what they were called. All bought and eaten on the way home from school.

I love them though prefer the M&S ones to Bertie
