Are you a fan?
I've just bought a bag on a whim!
I only like the round pink and yellow coconut ones, and the spogs.
Any takers for the rest of the bag 😂
Which ones are your favourite?

Apparently moderate to excessive consumption of liquorice can affect blood pressure. Ironically as Pontefract cakes were originally medicinal!
It is the absolute food of the Gods though.

I mostly just like the spogs. The last bag I got had only one spog. I was not amused.

I love liquorice but can’t stand allsorts .

I’m addicted to them, favourite treat. My cats hit the Dreamies late evening, and I hit liquorice allsorts. Our version of crack. My favourite is the coconut one, then the tube with white filling. If money is short I inhale Lidls dupe, otherwise it’s Bassets. Kids buy me the big boxes instead of Easter Eggs every Spring and same at Christmas instead of chocolate . Heaven.

I love them. I can easily eat the whole bag at once.

Love them all but recently had a bag with only 2 of the square ones and very few spogs. It was mostly the liquorice tubes. My stomach did not thank me the next day.

What was really annoying was that I'd let my daughter try a square as she'd not tried them so I only got one! And hers was the 5 layer one and mine only three layers.

Not over it yet.

Are spogs the bobbly ones? We just call them bobblies. Love them all though.

I love them. Also a huge fan of the coconut circles but I love them all. Bought a bag of Tesco's own version the other week, they weren't bad.

I only like the ones you can disassemble, throw the liquorice away & eat the rest.

Can I join? I'm a big licorice fan. Love 'All Sorts' except the 'spogs', had no idea of the name & why are they called that? PP mentioned 'school chalk' which I love but have to say my favourite are Pontefract Cakes.

Literally just remembered, I used to chew on root licorice sticks when a child, bought from a temperance bar, which happens to be still going. I'm nearly 60 & a big kid!

They're the best ones . Sadly ( I think ) those are the ones that have gelatine in , and as a vegetarian , I haven't had one in years . Boo !

I only like the coconut ones. When I was little I used to eat the coconut off and give the middle to my Mum.
I love the salty liquorice though it’s delicious and Lakrids are very addictive.

God, I want some now. A colleague used to give me a box every January. His dad thought he loved them and colleague didn't want to tell him the truth after his dad kept getting him them from Christmas.

Danish salted licorice ice cream is delicious. I also had licorice root as a child but can't remember actually liking it though.

I love liquorice allsorts although they seem incredibly sweet these days. I did not know the pink and blue Bonjela ones were called spogs.

Re salty liquorice, someone brought me back some from Spain in the shape of fish. It was not as salty as the Dutch and Scandi liquorice but sweet with a bit of saltiness and it was lovely, very classy.

I’ve not had liquorice allsorts for years but then, we don’t really eat sweets nowadays. I don’t think the jelly ones were called ‘spogs’ back in the day.

When I was in primary school I won a whole jar of liquorice torpedoes in a ‘guess how many’ competition in the school fête. Wisely, my parents put it in dad’s study for him to judiciously ration out rather than letting us eat too many at once! Gosh, the mere thought of that is taking me back in time…
