Liquorice Allsorts

Are you a fan?
I've just bought a bag on a whim!
I only like the round pink and yellow coconut ones, and the spogs.
Any takers for the rest of the bag 😂

I think liquorice is the work of Satan, the husband would wrestle you for a bag of Allsorts. Brought some Norwegian chocolate coated liquorice back from Bergen for a friend and she's planning a holiday just to get some more, she's welcome to it!

The only acceptable liquorice is found in the Netherlands, it's got a nicer flavor and they don't wrap it in that weird sugary foam stuff.

I love locorice. You do need to be caeeful, too much is poisonous. People have died, but you'd have to eat a lot to get that bad.

It makes me want to get some, no-one in the house likes them except me. I like the spogs best (had to Google to see what you were all talking about) then the square ones, and found ones that are filled. I don't like the ones that are just liquorice

I literally only like the coconut ones and the ones you like the least… for me the rest are horrible.

I bought a packet of Bassett's, purely for research purposes you understand, it had loads of coconut and little dotty ones. No Bertie and only one lonely plain one.

I like them all apart from the horrible brown chocolate (?) one.

In addition but not in a liquorice all sorts pack, I love a liquorice torpedo and the magic wands (flyers?).

We have a Lakrid’s advent calendar each year, a little daily bag of two. Perfect to share with partner. Gives a good opportunity to try new flavours.

I used to love liquorice allsorts…all of them except the brown ones and the orange ones. My favourites were the tubes of thin liquorice round a white centre, and that centre used to have an almost lemony scented flavour, the same flavour as the flavour of the centre of a Fry’s Chocolate Cream. Sadly the last time I tasted one of these it was just sugar…the lovely subtle flavour had been removed.

I persevered with nordic liquorice and grew to love it…Gott & Blandat from Sweden is my go to mixed bag…but I like anything as long as it isn’t too heavy on the salmiak. I can’t eat allsorts now….they’re way too sweet for me…obviously my palate has been changed forever!

@HoraceCope I have not come across any orange ones in the Bassetts bags.
Yellow, pink and brown but not orange.
In the Aldi bag there are 9 orange ones as a quick count, but unfortunately the whole lot is not to my taste.

M&S have ceramic jars decorated in ASs and filled with 450g of them currently. Make a nice gift for a fan. I'm more of a Dolly Mixtures girl, personally.

This thread encouraged me to go and buy some, first time in years. Very disappointed there was only one of my favourite one (spog - didn't know it was called that), but five of plain liquorice which is my least favourite
