Very sad although I don’t think it wasn’t anything anyone wasn’t expecting.

At least he was found relatively quickly and it didn’t have to drag on for days.

Just tragic. Once gone overnight it’s sadly inevitable really. I’m in tears. Poor little one. I can’t begin to imagine his parents’ grief.

I think all parents have had moments when small children bolt or are suddenly out of sight. Most of us are lucky and are quickly reunited, sometimes tragedies like this happen.

I thought they searched the water already ?

They searched the perimeter and had a helicopter with heat seeking on....the problem is that pond would have been so cold and Niah's body temperature would have dropped so quickly it likely wasn't able to detect heat.

Even though it had been more than 24hrs since Noah went missing, there was still hope. Now the hope has ended.

Thoughts are with the family. Especially grandad who I imagine will never forgive himself… of course can’t help falling but I’m sure it’ll always haunt him.

I was surprised how they ruled that out so quickly yesterday

There was no way they had time to search that large area of water properly yesterday afternoon. I did think it sounded strange when they said they'd ruled it out.

Perhaps it was to keep people focused on the land search.

Absolutely heartbreaking I'd hoped for better news of course, but when I saw how close the pond was it was very worrying. For various reasons this one hits home. His poor family. RIP little Noah💔
