Disgusting viewpoint and so cruel to be posting it now. You need to take a long look in the mirror.

My DD is only mildly neurodiverse. There is ALWAYS a FIRST TIME these things happen. I remember the first time my DD ran off - aged 3 at the school gates. No sense of danger and surprisingly quick. She slipped a hand and bolted. We couldn’t believe how far she got. How can you possibly anticipate a behaviour if it’s the first time a child has done it?

Maybe this was the first time this little boy has bolted off. The poor grandad fell over giving chase. You must be truly soulless to be blaming and criticising the family at this point. A pathological lack of empathy tbh.

Wilsonthedog · Today 11:12

I cant believe there's a parent alive who hasn't taken their eyes off their small child for a moment and then looked round to discover them either gone or doing something hazardous. We all have "there but for the grace of God" moments.

The absolute inhumanity of criticising his family at this time. What is wrong with folk? Genuinely sickening.

Those people are going through anyone’s worst nightmare.

A safe and sound return soon is all anyone should be thinking of and helping to achieve if they possibly can.

I wouldn’t blame anyone personally, and also we don’t know enough information to even speculate. It doesn’t sound like Noah was as disabled as some on this thread are making out

Well it's lovely to hear how perfect you all are

But the rest of us, I'm sure, are sympathetic to a family where an unforeseen accident has occurred and are now having a dreadful time

SereneFinch · Today 11:16

FFS so what if it was the parents ‘fault’ or the granddad’s ‘fault’. You don’t think the agony they are now going through is punishment enough? If the worst happens they will blame themselves for the rest of their lives, the pompous judgement of other people on the internet will be nothing in comparison.

They don’t need this either.

Bogstandardname · Today 11:16

I pray he is found unharmed. I lost my son when he was four for just a few minutes while I was looking in my purse to pay at a till. I have never before or since felt panic and fear like that .

Interesting, so there were other people around at the time, I was imagining it just being the child and grandad and that’s why no one else saw anything

And presumably said witness, having seen the child run, seen the grandad fall and not be able to get up in time, didn’t seek to intervene and try to help but instead posted on the local facebook page?

Do you not suspect the witness was there with children themselves? Were they supposed fo
race off and leave their own children behind? Besides, how do you know they didn’t do? Just because they posted online hours later?!

ExistWHY · Today 11:19

I have so many questions.

Ah yes, we must always find a woman to blame, preferably the mother. Even though she wasn't even there. Come on folks, if we work together we can find something to blame her for!

As @IrisApril says, there's a first time for everything. And that goes for children bolting, but also for grandparents ageing. Every time I see my parents these days, I notice a new thing they can no longer do as well as they used to. Even the grandad might not have realised he can't run as fast as he used to, until he had to and couldn't.

No parent is perfect, every single one of you laying blame will have had near misses with your own kids, even if you may not have even realised it, and you all need to go away, give your heads a wobble and ask why you think these comments are helpful.

Bogstandardname · Today 11:20

If people saw what was happening why the hell didn't they catch the lad as he ran.

Incorrect. The people in the park helped grandad up and joined in the initial search for Noah.

One of the witnesses commented on a post late yesterday evening to correct misinformation.

Why are so many quick to point the finger and judge when they have no idea what happened? A three year old child is missing for God’s sake, have a day off.

I have so many questions.

I’m sure you do but the only one that matters right now is where is he? Any other questions should be held until that is answered

It’s a playground. Presumably any adult present also had their own child there with them. They could hardly go running off after someone else’s child and leave their own unattended. And this will have all happened in a split second too.

AutumnLover1999 · Today 11:21

ItsPickleRick · Today 11:08

It was a witness on a local page that said grandad had fallen, she was there.

I assume the media have picked that up from reading the page.

Edited

I know what the media are like. They won't mention anything about the grandad falling over,so he'll be getting lynched by all the armchair detectives online. Awful. I keep checking for news 😔

Bogstandardname · Today 11:20

We have no idea where they were in relation to Noah.

They could have been in the park, they could have been further away than Grandad, they might have only noticed what was happening after Grandad fell. Nobody knows.

They may also have been with children of their own, not that easy to gather them up and chase down another child at speed

All to easy to say how we'd react in the moment. Shoulda woulda coulda 🤦

Carandache18 · Today 11:23

DD was a 'bolter at that age'. Reins saved her life at least twice. I could never understand why they went out of fashion.

Alondra · Today 11:24

ItsPickleRick · Today 11:07

I don’t believe for a second that you’ve never made a mistake, or an error of judgement. There but for the grace of God.

Your comments are absolutely disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself.

I've made plenty of mistakes as a parent. We've all done..

What I never did was taking my eyes from my kids when they were toddlers except on the care of my DH who was even more of a hawk than I was.

A disabled 3 y.o with disabilies should be constanty monitored for safety in public outings. A mistake in watching a phone, having a chat with someone, or doing something, whilst losing track where he is can mean serious consequences.

You are just wonderful. If only everyone was as great as you and your family. Doubtful any of you will ever suffer any misfortune when you are as on the ball as you all are 🙄
