Influx of far-right posters

Why has the site suddenly had an influx of far-right posters? Almost overnight.

Is this a concerted campaign by the black shirts from Dover, Reform or Tommy ten names to infiltrate women's SM?

I think there has been a swing to the right on here in the last year or so. Not far right though. Just a swing away from the left.

There is definitely a more far-right narrative creeping in. "Invaders" etc. On the Portsmouth thread there were claims that the government is deliberately "bringing in" the small boats and it is all about replacing the white population.

Meant to add I would like more transparency from governments and for them to work together across Europe

Admit this can not go on as it is, admit that what they are doing is not working and to be open to working with cross board political parties on how we can move forward - there is not a solution but there is a better way to handle the issues and to handle peoples anxieties and concerns and their anger, of course for some this will not be enough that will always be the case

Not throw some pointless stats that are meant to appease concerns when looking at previous recent years they mean nothing

The people calling posters "Far Right" for complaining about mass immigration etc, are probably from nice middle class areas that don't have gangs of asylum seekers roaming their streets. The probably have problem getting a doctors appointments, school places and have wonderful neighbours and not streets full of HMO's - full of young men.

Poland, Australia, Ceuta to Morocco, even UK returns to Albania all show ways to be effective.

Tbf even leafy mc areas say no when it’s close by - see Piddington. I think many posters would be similar.

This is really not the case and this has been done to death on so many threads. Many left-wing people live in very diverse areas where asylum seekers live. You just have to study voting patterns and demographics to confirm that.

I didn't "yell 'BIASED'", I said I didn't know if they were biased or not but one of their sources seemed flawed.

It’s like Brexit - people don’t always say in real life what they are thinking.

I think a lot of people are fed up of boats arriving & those in more deprived areas are expected to just get on with it. If they dare to say what they are thinking they are accused of being racist.

Essentially working people want to be able to get a GP appointment, send their kids to the local school, possibly get a council house. Many Brits enjoy a few beers & going to their local pub. Lots feel they have not got priority currently. If people are truly socialist they should support the traditional working class. Currently they feel unheard & so are getting frustrated. It’s easy to be left wing when you can afford to live in an area which has not absorbed lots of immigrants.

I must admit I was shocked to see one of our naval towns effectively welcoming in a boat of immigrants. It’s a bit ridiculous isn’t it? If I want to go abroad I have to buy a passport & go through customs. It all seems a bit ridiculous that a whole boat load can just step off a boat without any ID.

I don’t believe this makes me racist - I work with people from many different countries & believe that everyone should be treated equally. However I can’t honestly say I would welcome living next to HMOs full of single men. I would feel the same way if they were all from Sweden or Australia or Poland. It’s not to do with skin colour.

I fear that Reform will continue to gain in popularity if we don’t do something about it all. Just look at Germany where AfD are gaining seats. We don’t really want to be in this position. Ignoring the problem just makes the Reform & Restore support increase.

Portsmouth didn't welcome the boat of immigrants, they took them to safety. And then they moved them on to a processing centre in Kent.

You going abroad on holiday isn't comparable to fleeing your home and seeking asylum.

Nothing wrong with having concerns, there is everything wrong expressing these concerns throug hatred and violence.

The leader of the protesters has threatened Farage for criticising them. I think they are far beyond being Reform supporters.

Being a 'true socialist' isn't about agreeing with any old thing because a working class people says or wants it.
True socialism is a political ideology that advocates for state ownership of the means of production and greater equality in share of resources. Its associated with the WC because the WC would be the greatest beneficiaries of a shift towards it.
As far as immigration is concerned strictly speaking, the true socialist would say "workers of the world unite" not workers of the UK unite against the rest of the world.

@TemperanceWest I’ve no idea what the solution is. I just think that something needs to be done - otherwise we will end up with civil unrest on a worrying scale. TikTok & X posts are getting a lot of support for the protests. Mainstream media weren’t reporting on Portsmouth last night so presumably had been blocked from doing so. I saw it all unfolding on social media. We live in very worrying times. I wish I could go to sleep and wake up back in 1990. Life seemed more simple.

@5128gap I don’t feel there is currently a political party which has the traditional working class as a priority. Andy Burnham seems to be talking some sense. So fingers crossed he can continue to get people on side. For some reason a lot of working class people are looking to Nigel Farage for an answer. He’s managed to convince them that the only reason for the economy struggling is immigration. Elon Musk promoting this rhetoric on X doesn’t help.

I don’t think everyone is sure of who they support politically & so they don’t align with left or right wing. They just want to know they can afford a house, go on holiday & afford an occasional night out.

I live with a younger version of Jeremy Corbyn - verging on being a communist. So I’m aware of what being a socialist is. DH protests against the likes of Tommy & Nigel. Just because we are left of centre it doesn’t mean I can’t empathise with people who have a different lived experience & are worried about immigration. Brushing off their concerns will just exacerbate the problem.

@nomasno unfortunately I think we are at the point where a number of people would prefer the immigrants to drown. Have you not seen the comments on the news articles about the Palestinian family who drowned recently? It’s shocking & quite unsettling. It’s become acceptable to voice very racist thoughts.
