Influx of far-right posters

Slightyamusedandsilly · 07/09/2026 08:57

Why has the site suddenly had an influx of far-right posters? Almost overnight.

Is this a concerted campaign by the black shirts from Dover, Reform or Tommy ten names to infiltrate women's SM?

I think they’ve always been there but their voices are being emboldened now because being told to be silent isn’t working . There’s also a narrative that this is just coming from the disenfranchised working classes , it isn’t , it’s coming from a lot of middle class people in my area who are sick of the country being turned into the third world .

Who is being told to be silent, and by who ?

If you mean Reform/ Restore folk are being told to be silent, they seem pretty vocal to me.

tomandjamie · 08/09/2026 06:08

I'm not sure what you mean by "far right" ?

Because let's face it, if you were either Russia or Iran then the first place you would try to destabilise the UK through the use of bots is Mumsnet rather than say Facebook or Instagram or Bebo (old skool).

Mnhq have posted about this before. And why it’s less likely to be here, made sense.

KatiePricesKnickers · 08/09/2026 06:37

Simply saying a lot of accounts are ‘bots’ is a convenient solution to justify closing your ears to other people view points, which seems to be a trait of left wingers.

TikTok & X posts are getting a lot of support for the protests

And how many of those are genuine do you think? I don't go on TikTok, but X is absolutely awash with bots.

Things are being done. The numbers are coming down.

wrong post

TopPocketFind · 07/09/2026 16:51

People who don't want to believe the numbers will never be satisfied.

Easy target for them. Officers were injured and vehicles were damaged in Portsmouth.

And how many migrants have been deported?
And how many are left out of the thousand that have arrived ?

And equally a trait of right wingers who just shout ‘woke’ and ‘lefty’ at anyone who disagrees that ‘Britain is like a third world country’. Society in Britain now is divided massively with various factions unable to tolerate others, and all sides shouting each other down. It can’t be a good thing for any of us in the end.

Quote " And how many migrants have been deported?"

You can look it up. Here is the data.

How many people are returned from the UK? - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

"A total of 39,000 returns from the UK were recorded in the YE March 2026 (including both enforced and voluntary returns). This is a 7% increase on the 36,500 returns in the same period 12 months prior."

Quote " And how many are left out of the thousand that have arrived ?"

You can look up " Arrivals via illegal entry routes" . It's here

How many people come to the UK via illegal entry routes? - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

"In the YE March 2026, there were 43,806 detected arrivals via illegal routes. Small boat arrivals accounted for 90% of these arrivals. "

And yes, that is detected arrivals.

And you can do the sums. Or you can let other people do the sums, newspapers etc. Because as with all these things, there will be a lag.

Sounds like something a bot would write.

But seriously, with the internet everyone has an anonymous voice to shout with, and no repercussions except the hassle to respawn.
If everyone had to post their real name, things would be a lot more tempered.

Interesting - so is this disclaimer - "Not all people arriving to the UK via illegal entry routes will be detected and the proportion of arrivals detected will vary by method and route. Therefore, it is not advisable to directly compare recorded detection numbers on different methods of entry. "

piscofrisco · 08/09/2026 07:37

How does it possibly sound like something a bot would write? What are you on about?
mate, if someone wanted to pay me for posting on here then I’d happily take the pay check. I’ve been on here for just under 20 years, I could have made a fortune.

Is that not the nature of the beast when it comes to illegal entry. Some will want to enter to claim asylum, some will want to enter to work at some place. And some will try to enter to work, get caught, and then claim asylum.

For example. If someone enters the Republic of Ireland on a Visa, then skips over the border into the UK, how are the Government going to know ?

On that latter point, I remember a story about Ecuador They signed a visa free travel deal with China. But a lot of the tourists were not being registered as leaving equator. And what else was noticed was a surge in PRC nationals that presented at the US southern border claiming asylum. And the numbers matched. So a polite request from the Biden admin to Ecuador, and the visa free deal was cancelled.

The point of that story is, how could Ecuador know for sure where all these tourists were vanishing to ? China by the way; I recall they demanded the US return anyone claiming asylum.

Oh please. Left wing people are always on these threads asking questions, responding to 'other people's' viewpoints. (Interesting that you divide MN into 'left wing' and 'other people' BTW, as though being left leaning is the niche position. Its really not.) There is no trait of left wingers other than we vote for left wing parties. If you feel you're not being listened to, maybe give the stereotypes and personality generalisations a miss and actually give people something to listen to.

The whole ‘left’ and ‘right’ thing is a smokescreen anyway. Plenty of people who identify as leftwing oppose mass uncontrolled immigration. Plenty of people who identify as right wing don’t worship Tommy Robinson or shout at hotels.

We’re being pitted against each other. I’ve never known society to be so divided. If we should be scared of anything, it’s that.

I agree with this. No matter what your political leaning the boat migration is simply human trafficking in plain sight. Not only does it largely only benefit the landlords, who are by housing these people guaranteed government backed rents for life, the people themselves are made even more vulnerable by being in a position where they risk their life to get here and so the average citizen is indifferent to their circumstances, because the route is illegal which undermines our respect for them and the law itself.

Is there really any wonder why things like the rates of shoplifting are spiralling out of control when the authorities are unable to even control the borders adequately? I mean I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's one of the basic abilities you need to govern a country.

I agree with you. However many of the very vocal anti immigration people have a hatred of 'the left' quite outside of the immigration debate. They are furious we have a Labour government and (correctly) see left leaning people as the barrier to their government of choice. They are here to drum up support for their own party and discredit the left rather than look for areas of agreement.
Its actually very difficult for a left wing person to engage in a discussion about immigration without having to wade through a slurry of posts accusing 'the left' of having caused or been complicit in the immigration problem, and when any failure to agree to all points is dismissed as 'not listening' which is 'a trait of the left' apparantly.
There are actually areas we probably all agree on, for example that the boats should be stopped and asylum seekers shouldn't be dumped into already struggling communities adding to the strain on their resources. But productive discussion is often blocked by this other agenda.

Yep. Although it's worth noting getting pip purely for mobility means being able to walk less than fifty metres. Most people who use sticks can walk further.

Of course you’d like them to stay in wouldn’t you? Your reason for posting politically doesn’t stand apart. Not sure why posters on the left think it does.
