Struggling with my 17-year-old daughter's much older boyfriend

Just a rant really as I'm still fuming about DD and her older boyfriend. Talking did not achieve anything and she is adamant that she wants to stay over at his place. I grudgingly suggested having him over for dinner first as it would make me more comfortable. Apparently I'm embarrassing, but she agreed.
The creep is 32, she is 17. They barely know each other. I can't see any way at all that this can end well for her without getting hurt, but she is being completely pig headed.
Will probably use this thread to let off steam at times because it seriously getting to me.

How about you stop interfering?!

Let her live her life and make her own mistakes

She is going to run from you if you are suffocating!

Pick up what pieces? Just back off - you don’t have to pick up anything - that’s part of her growing up - and you letting go

Just venting because DD is definitely becoming more difficult and frankly acting like a brat. I’m not even asking for advice just frustrated at how naive and childish she is and wondering if I facilitated this. Why did I even try ffs. We all know who’ll be here to pick up the pieces in the end.

You can vent here, OP. Sometimes it helps!

Thanks. I’m leaving her alone, which is why I vented here. She is convinced that she is an adult and is ignoring rules. Fine, but I won’t be listening to the whinging once the grades start to get impacted by the lack of focus.
