Tommo's blackshorts

No wonder they hide their faces.

The matching shorts are giving me flashbacks to infants class uniforms.

It links me back to their inactive Facebook page unfortunately. There is an email address on the group and on your link so I could try that. I was wondering if any other organisations might have things going on.
Thanks though!

Oh gosh that’s a shame - we try keep up a good presence around here - all branches are needed right now though.

We have a lot of various organisations here - most come together for these protests. Ones like Amnesty, care 4 Calais and union branches such as unite, nuj, neu - you may have local migrant charities or Women Against the Far Right.

If you PM me your area I can mention it at a meeting - we are so keen to build SUTR and alliances - only if you like of course.

Thank you so much for looking and I’m sorry there wasn’t much to find. It’s appreciated though.

Love that term - gonna steal it with pride! If that’s ok?

He is flanked by around 20 balaclava blackshirts and is demanding they buy his mother a new house within 48 hours.

If I were Tommo’s mother I’d be asking Musk to send me to Mars!

Still it helps me know my kids aren’t so bad after all lol!

Politico: "The latest Private Eye pulls various data together to suggest the Rachel Reeves agricultural inheritance tax changes might be having the intended impact: pushing tax-avoiders out of farmland and making it more affordable for real farmers." (Cont.)

Politico: "Land agents Strutt and Parker reckon the proportion of “lifestyle buyers” of agri land fell to 11 percent in 2025 (down from 16 percent in 2024) as the proportion bought by farmers rose to 59 percent — a seven-year high."

Very interesting. Does make me wonder where all of those EU subsidies were going and I am a staunch Remainer. Personally I know someone who rents land for a pittance as agricultural land and buildings are often exempt from standard commercial business rates. A fake farmer can rent land cheaply to avoid paying taxes while keeping the land empty or unused. Hopefully they will work on that next...

I'm sure someone will be along very shortly to tell us this is incorrect.

The Yaxley-Lennon C4 expose is interesting (if hardly surprising).
Look forward to seeing if there is any legal follow up resulting.

TemperanceWest · 09/09/2026 23:32

No wonder he was having a massive strop on X!

Efacsen · 10/09/2026 08:04

Majority of front-pages dominated by Met investigation of Farage/Reform - notable exceptions the telegraph, express, DM and daily star

Deflection/distraction only getting harder

TemperanceWest · 10/09/2026 08:11

Can you imagine Farage being interviewed under caution? He wouldn't like that at all.

Notonthestairs · 10/09/2026 08:12

He’ll opt for a ‘no comment’ interview in the hope he can’t make things worse.

DuncinToffee · 10/09/2026 08:44

Camden Council leader Sagal Abdi-Wali has been selected as Labour's candidate in the by-election for Sir Keir Starmer's former seat

Maybe Farage's fragile ego will explode into a million smithereens under questioning

Very interesting report from Kings College about London and how safe it is - compared with misperceptions. Brief summary:

10 September 2026
London misperceptions: public often wrong on capital's crime, quality of life, contribution to public finances and Muslim population
A third believe there are "no-go" areas ruled by Sharia law

London has fallen - misperceptions of the UK capital (4.67MB pdf)

London has among the lowest violent crime rates of any region in England and Wales, tops a global ranking of best cities, and pays more in tax than it receives back in public spending – but the public overestimate how likely Londoners are to become victims of crime, underestimate the capital’s international standing, and have little idea it is the key contributor to the public finances, according to a new study from the Policy Institute at King's College London.

London has fallen? Misperceptions of crime, race, religion and life in the UK capital also reveals the public think the city’s Muslim population is double its true size, while a third of the public believe the city has “no-go” areas where Sharia law dominates and non-Muslims cannot enter.

The study finds misperceptions about the capital divide sharply along party lines. Reform UK supporters are furthest from the facts on crime and on London’s Muslim population, which they guess makes up as much as half the capital. Green and Labour supporters, meanwhile, make an opposite error, overestimating how White British London is.

But the public are not wrong about everything. They correctly identify that shoplifting, theft from the person, sexual offences and violence rose between 2019 and 2025 – even if a majority wrongly think total crime in the capital has increased, when it has in fact fallen slightly.

Based on two surveys of 2,164 and 3,969 adults, carried out with YouGov between 23 and 27 March 2026 for the Mistaken Britain research series, the study shows how misperceptions about London are closely linked to how warmly people feel towards the capital and their opinion of the direction it is heading in.

I always feel safer in London than my own City. For me it is men like the protesters I worry about the most - spiking women's drinks and being drunk in the middle of the day, ranting about smashing windows, swearing on the high street and urinating in public.

I think they are the ones spreading the disinformation (funded by Russia and US) which try to instil fear and this "invasion" theme. On the periphery we can't help but see misinformation as so much of it is spewed through social media for clicks.

SmallDFartyCarNRG · 10/09/2026 09:27

I would love Burnham to actively conscript all protesters to the army though. No matter what their job, a year or two of conscription is required if they actually want to defend their country. Might make some of them think twice before buddying up with their mates to intimidate locals.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 10/09/2026 09:44

The thing that impressed me about the C4 Yaxley-Lennon programme last night was that it was purely an investigation of the money.

No commentary about the politics at all. Interviews held with people who (presumably) still hold far right opinions - but it avoided any judgement on that.
Cleverly done bit of TV investigation.

They should be nowhere near the armed forces.

Or stop their benefits.
