Do you have a TV license?

It seems to me more and more people just don't bother. I do have one, though don't ever watch 'live' TV, I do watch iplayer and other catch up. I watch Netflix mostly.

Do you bother? If so, how old are you? (Im 49 and remember the adverts!)

Some people simply do not have much of an interest in what the BBC has to offer. Hence why there is such a wide variety in different packages available elsewhere. That is if anyone even wants to watch anything. Some people simply choose to read instead and do not have a television. Everyone is different.

Yes, I have a licence, renewed automatically each year.
i grew up in a house where there was a lot of ducking and diving, hiding behind the sofa to avoid the tallyman, off the back of a lorry stuff etc (always enough money for fags though).
One of the cornerstones in my adult life has been paying my way, complying with laws, keeping the tax man happy. The thought of any kind of enforcement officer coming knocking makes me nauseous.

Not having a licence doesnt mean people are ducking and dving many have no need for them

Sorry! You are right to point that out - I worded it very badly! People I know have subscriptions because they say there's almost nothing worth watching otherwise, whereas I think there's loads of good stuff on Freeview. But of course, other people like watching different things and can spend their money how they want.

They only have themselves to blame, tbh. If they had a proper subscription service you could easily cancel on a monthly basis then I would absolutely sign up a few times a year, as I do with netflix, disney, prime, etc (basically alternate between them). Over said decade they would have had a few hundred quid off me, even if not the full 10 x £180. But instead they've had 0.
