The White House account has posted an image of an eagle attacking a Canada Goose. What they fail to have realised is that the still is taken from a nature documentary which shows, when watched in full, that the goose fought back and the eagle gave up.

I'll be honest that when - despite all that happened 2016-2021 - Trump was re elected, then to use a phrase "The die was cast". Every supposedly bonkers thing Trump has tried he has got(ten) away with. Either with the collusion of congress and/or the Supreme Court.

I am more that happy to be mistaken in my suggestion that there is no precedent in the history of modern democracy (which I shall arbitrarily class as staring in 1689) for the behaviour of any head of state that compares with Trump.
