Was coming on to post the same thing.

Methinks the good Lord’s aim might be slightly off. He’s getting closer though, the wonderful Tim Curry was in Home Alone 2, as was DJT…..

250+ truck loads of debris from the carp pond at constitution gardens.

Oh why not. Some calculating. The pond is 6.5 acres. That's 26304 square meters. A US dump truck holds 30 cubic meters. So that's 250 x 30 = 7500 cubic meters.

That gives us 0.28 m height of debris removed over the area of the pond.

I am just being daft here. I did look up sediment deposition rates in urban ponds, but blocked.

But I did find that the US Clean Water Act Section 404 covers the disposal of such material. And yes, he is going to need a permit for the disposal of that material. He can't just dump it on the municipal golf course he has just taken over. The same course where he has dumped what used to be the WH East wing.

He is a cowboy builder.

I picked up on that point (I work in countryside management). What the hell were those carp up to?! No carp crap THAT much.

It does come in threes @dapsnotplimsolls ... 🤞 though I am saddened by the losses of Tim Curry and Dolly; both great.

Cool. I am an angler, so my take is that sludge and sediment is not good stuff. I follow some of the weir removal projects that go on, and am aware of all the testing needed to make sure the sediment is safe. Heavy metals from industry and runoff that you likely have to consider in your job.

My guess at 0.28m of sediment in an urban pond might be a 100 years worth ( or the age of the pond), so there might be bad bits in there.

The repairs on the, is it Trump Reflecting Pool, now.
Efforts to repair President Donald Trump’s botched renovation project have exposed just how shoddy the work truly was.

Trump, 80, has repeatedly claimed that his peeling pool is the result of vandals who cut a gash hundreds of feet long into its liner, but even his own prosecutors disagree.
Jeanine Pirro, the president’s top federal prosecutor for Washington, D.C., dropped charges against former Olympian David Hearn after determining that the pool’s damage was likely caused by a “botched installation” by the contractors.
The Department of Justice had also dropped misdemeanor charges against three others accused of vandalizing the pool.
Trump said that he was “very disappointed with Jeanine Pirro,” adding that she “folded like an umbrella.”
“There may have been some contractor difficulty, but the major damage was caused by VANDALS!” Trump later wrote on Truth Social.
While repairs have been underway, new signs were placed on the fences surrounding the pool, stating that crews were ‘repairing areas damaged by vandals’ and blaming past administrations for tourists being unable to enjoy it.

Work on the historic attraction has continued on and off since June, as Trump’s idea to restore the pool by painting it “American Flag Blue” failed miserably. Instead, the renovation spurred the pool’s largest algal bloom in years.
The same contractor who worked on the initial renovation, Atlantic Industrial Coatings, was hired again for the repairs, as Interior Secretary Doug Burgum told CNN that “they did a fantastic job.

And that in turn would have been blocking the filter inlets, making the whole thing worse.

Edit. Not filter inlets. The water circulation system. And possibly the micro bubblers ?

One of the comments might interest you.

"We painters all know: you don't paint concrete, as it is not conducive to bonding with any paint liquids. This project was doomed from the start. At this stage the only solution is to completely remove the peeling paint and return the pool to its natural condition.

As for the algae, that was caused by failing to flush all piping before refilling, and failing to keep the pool chemistry correctly balanced -- algae thrive in pools with phosphates, so it is critical to remove the phosphates while balance Ph, and making sure adequate chlorine is added daily, as it evaporate in high temps"

I just done the Turtle Tank, and I don't mind the algae. Just brushed out the filter pipes and flush them. And no, the Turtle is not called Mitch. It's a girl. The filter itself is organic. Think like a little box of nature that the water runs through. But gotta be careful of mozzies. We have mozzie inspectors here, and can get fined for any standing water.

I used to have a Nitrate/Nitrite/Phosphate test kit for the fish. But I have up because where I am the tap water fails. And I ain't putting a reverse osmosis filter in.

And nor, by the way, is anything painted with rubber paint. :-)

On his tax free beef imports that the US farmers were not happy with - who Guessed Argentina ? Whoever it was, take a gold star for your Trump golden jotter :-)

How do we now know. Well, he has done another proclamation, and he says it was Argentina.

"Specifically, I increased the in-quota amount for lean beef trimmings from Argentina by 80,000 metric tons (mt) for the calendar year 2026, thereby increasing the supply of ground beef available to United States consumers. "

And he has increased it by -

"For the calendar year 2026, the aggregate in-quota quantity for certain products described in Additional United States Note 3 of Chapter 2 of the HTSUS will be increased by 300,000 mt."

But there is a condition -

"The Secretary of Agriculture and the Trade Representative, in consultation with any other senior executive branch official they deem appropriate, shall monitor whether the imports of lean beef trimmings entered under the increased in-quota quantity established in this proclamation are being sold at a price 25 percent below the market price for lean beef trimmings. If the Secretary of Agriculture and the Trade Representative determine that imports entering under the increased in-quota quantity established in this proclamation are not being sold at a price that is 25 percent below the market price for lean beef trimmings, the Secretary and the Trade Representative shall immediately notify me, so that I may determine whether to eliminate what remains of the increased in‑quota quantity established in this proclamation. "

There was me thinking the farmers were part of his base. Well, the leopard just ate their faces again. Him and his pal in Argentina are undercutting US Beef farmers by 25%.

There. Fixed it for the WH Regime.
Seeing the price Argentina has to sell it for, I would demand a lab check on the composition of the beef. Skin is 'beef' too.
Anyone care to check the percentage of skin and offal etc allowed under the usually lax US food regulations?
