On Beef imports. The US beef people have a beef about that:

Thanks for that Grauniad article about the National Guard, @Spandauer. If only there were more pushback like that against Trump and his minions’ fake news. It’s horrifying that it has to be said that the US government can’t just twist the facts and rewrite the truth to their benefit. Unfuckingbelievable. Now that Iran and the US have reached an unstoppable force, immovable object stalemate, I looked back on Trump's reasons for war against Iran:
Freedom for the Iranian people/regime change ➡then prevent the development of a nuclear weapon ➡then destroy military capability ➡now, force a nuclear deal and reopen the SoH.

WH ballroom project:
More space for parties/events ➡then modernising and upgrading the WH ➡then the East Wing needed to be replaced ➡then national security ➡now, NATIONAL SECURITY!

I see a pattern here. Isn't it nice how one can change the scope of work when someone else foots the bill?

I'd be willing to bet good money that it will need to be completed in time for the next election. Because when DT's "victory" is "stolen" from again, he will need a fortified place of refuge while his foot soldiers open fire on the disloyal. My immediate reaction is to wonder whether the hissy-fit Trump will undoubtedly have about this, will do for him. But then I follow a social media page whose cover photo is a pseudo Snoopy cartoon asking “Is he dead yet?”, so I might be somewhat obsessed with that thought.
