Black and Brown Voters don't want Communism or Socialism -- Not surprisingly, they are flocking to the Republican Party! They remember that Abraham Lincoln was a Republican! President DONALD J. TRUMP"
I really don't know what to say. He is connecting two unrelated things. It is both offensive, and shows his ignorance of history ( I also am ignorant of history, but les than this guy). If someone in in the pub said the above, the only reaction would be...... "WTF are you on about fella".
Lincoln died 1865.
The communist manifesto was published in 1848. Das Kapital, volume 1 was published in 1867. The second and third volumes in 1885 and 1894. So it is unlikely Lincoln was going around quoting Marx to people. Unless he had a copy of the pamphlet Communist Manifesto.
But on the whole thing of labour and capital, Lincoln did say this is 1861.
"Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration. Capital has its rights, which are as worthy of protection as any other rights."
Abraham Lincoln / On Labor and Capital -- 1861 (cooperative-individualism.org)
In 1837, Lincoln said this " These capitalists generally act harmoniously and in concert, to fleece the people. "

Thing is, Lincoln is sort of claimed by both sides.
But Lincoln would have been familiar with this :
Act 4:32-37 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet. (KJV)
But it appears that the Christian Trump is totally unaware that the idea of socialism is in his 3rd favourite book.
His favourites are Mein Kampf and Spot the Dog allegedly.
Edit. Forgot to mention the Southern Strategy of the 60s.
