How do Brits view Latin people and culture ?

After some time living in the US…more and more people there seem to not like us Latin people.

So thinking on maybe stopping by the UK to move on and get a new experience there

However, not sure what to expect on culture differences, economy, etc

Who knows? Could maybe find the one in the UK lol. If there is any interest

Ah then you are absolutely 💯 Mexican American, but yeah you know the people I mean, the ones who don’t know where Ireland or Italy are on a map 🫣

I live in London and mainly met South and Central Americans through work - all highly educated, bilingual, sophisticated and usually from privileged backgrounds. There are pockets of South American communities in south London and also (used to be) a little Colombian enclave around Arsenal.

I don't recognise the stereotypes from Hollywood films / sitcoms and think they are in really bad taste (housemaids/gardeners etc) and racist. The only cliche I have found to be true is my two close friends who are of Chilean and Guyanan heritage who operate on "Latin American time". I always show up an hour after our arranged meeting time and I am usually the first one there.

The best football game (the football itself was terrible) I have ever been to is Inter Miami and the entire crowd was Latino. Atmosphere was electric - a real family event - and the Star Spangled Banner sung passionately by an almost entirely Spanish speaking US American stadium was incredible.

Yeah. The winters were especially hard for her. It's so dark. Tbh I feel the same and often yearn for some Colombian sunshine (and empanadas)
