How much have you spent this weekend, and what on?

Just curious… nosey even. I usually spend quite a bit every weekend, soft play, farm, a birthday party, petrol, seaside day out, or dinner or lunch etc etc.

How much have you spent this weekend; and on what? A big food shop maybe?

Also curious if you are a family or not as that can make a difference.

Nothing, I haven't left the house.
But I was away in London for most of the week, so I spent way too much there!

DidYeAye16 · 12/07/2026 19:24

Whydoweedsgrowsofast · 12/07/2026 19:28

£10 - entry to a paddling pool
£23 - lunch in the park cafe
£15 - coffee out
£4.50 - Sunday newspaper
£52.50 total

Family with 2 parents an a preschool child. Not a speedy weekend but many aren't. We do a lot of parks / national trust (we are members) / country walks. Sometimes we take picnics. Sometimes we go to cafes. Treat weekends are different such as the fun swimming pool with flumes but that is about £35 so once every 6 weeks or more.

Roomeo · 12/07/2026 19:29

Too much in all honesty! I have an expensive “hobby” but thankfully don’t do it often! (Think this weekend I spent about £450 total)

@Katypp Jesus Christ! Is that the going rate for a single driving lesson these days?!?!

OP posts:
Bangersndmash · 12/07/2026 20:00

@TheBlueArsedFly this is it though, these “free” events usually cost a fortune for me. I know it doesn’t have to, but having to do a pack lunch to go to the park and out and about all day for two LO is too time consuming so I grab something quick whilst out; then a coffee; parking, etc etc it all adds up 🫣

Bangersndmash · 12/07/2026 20:04
