I have yet to read any series commentary on the seismic events of the past (let us remind ourselves) two months
Just to remind ourselves:
Nigel Farage the self-styled bad boy of British politics and the man who was set to replace Keir Stamer[1] Has gone from being elected an MP in 2024 at the head of 3 (turned out to be 4) fellow party MPs, now standing at exactly the same number plus some rejected Tories in 2026.
Meantime someone who wasn't even an MP or party leader has gone from private subject to MP to PM in (let's repeat it) two months
"Unprecedented" seems inadequate for that degree of shift. This isn't swapping one useless Tory for another. And therefore there is no playbook. We are seeing it being (badly) written.
