Have you ever hated something that seems very popular with everyone else ?

Just for fun so no sarcasm or nastiness please .
My friend and I went to see a West End musical this week . I was really looking forward to it . Great reviews . Celebrity cameos . Camp and fun . Seemed right up our street .
We both hated it . We were turning to each other with puzzled looks and raised eyebrows (we've known each other forever and have very similar tastes so no words needed) .
The audience seemed off their tits to be honest . Screeching at every unsubtle innuendo . Shouting responses to the actors . It was like a really bad hen do .
We left at the interval .
My point is that everyone else seemed to be having a great time . The staff who opened the doors to allow us to leave at the interval were incredulous . I quote : "Are you not enjoying it ?!"
Well no , we weren't . We thought it was shit .
This is a show that is up for lots of awards and has had so many positive reviews .
Have you ever hated something that everyone else seemed to love ?

It was Titanique ! And I'm sorry to say that we thought it was a steaming pile of 💩. So disappointing .

Call me odd or weird but the spelling of it alone would put me off.

But to answer your question, my dislikes were avocados, Big Brother (when it was popular, ugh), Love Island, Ant and Dec.

Pantomime; any sort of fancy dress party; the very thought of going on a cruise.

The eurovision song contest. Was always on as a child and hated it, it was quite often on my birthday too!

This. We got gifted tickets to see the live show. Left at the interval. Dreadful.

Come now. Everyone thinks that TV show is shit, surely. A lot of things people have mentioned on this thread are widely reviled rather than being universally loved.

Good one, I forgot about Eurovision. Thankfully I no longer live in Europe so it doesn't even cross my radar any more.

I've never heard of that. Are you sure you don't mean bathroom?

It’s a thing…me and my then very new partner booked a hotel for the weekend. It was our first time away together. Gorgeous boutique hotel on the Norfolk coast…with a huge cast iron bath in the bedroom (room was allocated on arrival…we would never have picked it!)

Not a chance I was going to put him through watching my 62 year old wrinkly arse humping itself into and out of a bath! Nobody needs to witness that ffs!

Nothing current, but my boyfriend and I went to see the Rolling Stones a long time ago and left at half time.

I left Elvis Costello and The Attractions years ago. I gave it a good 15 minutes. I love EC but the sound system was bad or the acoustics or something and it was terrible. Not a chance I was going to stick that any longer.

We were looking around to see what others thought and it seemed to be just us two but it was unbearable. We went to pub.

I have always hated the 50 shades series. I wasn't hooked. I also hate eggs and football.

OMG you are me! Loathe eggs and football!

I've never heard of that. Are you sure you don't mean bathroom?

No, an actual freestanding bath in your bedroom. I don’t know how to add photos on my phone but you can google. Also have been seen as a bit of a ‘luxury’ in some hotels. Ghastly! Maybe they have finally been binned 🙏🏼

QuizzlyBears · 30/05/2026 19:06

Wetherspoons chocolate orange espresso martini is to die for imo. The only good thing about winter! Ok I am exaggerating slightly....!

I’ll keep that in mind if I’m ever in one.
