Awake because husband woke me up for "fun" couple hours ago, he's now snoring next to me and I'm now wide awake.

IndianaJeans · 24/05/2026 03:39

I'm so pregnant

Slightyamusedandsilly · 24/05/2026 03:41

hmb255 · 24/05/2026 03:32

Husband snoring. I’m seriously contemplating divorce!

Fair dos really. Hopefully he does 50% of the domestic load to make up for the noise.

ThisChirpyOpalCat · 24/05/2026 03:43

It’s 8:43 in the evening.

Fraughtmum · 24/05/2026 03:44

Birds woke me at 3.13.

HoppingPavlova · 24/05/2026 03:48

It’s daytime where I live, so normal for me to be awake😁.

xx11x · 24/05/2026 03:53

Sazzles169 · 24/05/2026 03:55

My Baby girl is 4 days old and mostly refuses to sleep in the Moses basket or bassinet. Contact sleeps only so im on the night shift

Parkingpermitfallout · 24/05/2026 03:57

Meno sweats. It’s not that hot here but I just woke up and had to shower and change the bed. Now the dog thinks it’s MORNING.

Fucking birds.

Actually, maybe it's the fucking birds that woke up my fucking cats. Who then woke me up.

MrsF111 · 24/05/2026 04:03

I’ve got a 4 day old baby! No sleep happening over here 😂

CaesarAugusta · 24/05/2026 04:06

Woke at 3, thought I'd get back to sleep quite quickly but it hasn't happened. Various bits of me are itchy, probably because of the heat.

Seahorsesplendour · 24/05/2026 04:08

8 yr old autistic ds struggling with the heat woke up totally dysregulated which is highly unusual in the night threw milk all over me & the bed so had to sort all that out! He’s just going back to sleep thankfully!! I’m going to struggle to relax now though & had only had about half hour before he woke due to perimenopause & heat!! It’s going to be a long day!!!

ourSusie · 24/05/2026 04:12

the prosaic, needed to pee
now I’m awake, hungry but fighting it
its 27degrees in here but
cool and damp out so closed the windows

Tulipsriver · 24/05/2026 04:12

Hayfever has given me a horrible cough that's impossible to sleep through.

HelpMeGetThrough · 24/05/2026 04:13

IFeelARantComingOn · 24/05/2026 02:31

Same here, the pain is bad tonight. I hope yours eases off soon. Flowers

I fell asleep for a bit, but it’s woken me up again. I’ve run out of the prescription painkillers I have, as the pharmacy hadn’t made anything up, so I’m trying to deal with it with OTC codeine, which is too weak.

Day Lewis better get their act together this week, or I think I’ll lose it with them the way I am feeling.

BrownTroutBluesAgain · 24/05/2026 04:23

Some can sleep just about anywhere anytime

so envious

Why are you awake?
BlindGuyMcSqueezy · 24/05/2026 04:33

I woke up for a wee at 03:08. Then as I got back to bed my 20yo DS came home very drunk.
He was talking and laughing to himself, then he made a right racket getting a drink. Then he started throwing up.
I’m now wide awake.

RestlessSnail · 24/05/2026 04:40

@lornad00m Iron levels do indeed have a huge effect on RLS - low levels can cause it, or you can have it anyway and low iron makes it worse. Appparently it's necessary for dopamine synthesis in the brain. I have RLS & have been told I need to keep my levels higher than average. One Dr said at least 50, another 75. Can't remember the unit of measurement which is unhelpful but I think 20 is the minimum for non RLS folk.

I couldn't tolerate ferrous sulphate, but I've been fine with ferrous fumarate. The liquid preparation (spatone) is even gentler but not sure it's available on prescription. Taking with vitC helps absorption.

Apologies if telling you what you already know!

Whattheduck · 24/05/2026 04:42

Been awake for about an hour
I lost my dad recently and since then I’ve been struggling with my sleep once I’m awake my brain won’t switch off playing things over and over and thinking about stupid stuff
I’ve always been a good sleeper I usually put rain or sea sounds on to help me get back to sleep but it’s just not helping at the minute

UndoRedo · 24/05/2026 04:47

Ginger twat cat, sat on my dresser meowing and very strategically pushing things onto the floor till I got up to let him out

GreenfingeredGlenda · 24/05/2026 04:47

Heat, hot flushes and hay fever 🥵.

GreenfingeredGlenda · 24/05/2026 04:49

@UndoRedo mine does that, he is also a twat. He knows that I get up after the first swipe so that the second doesn’t smash anything.

Blueuggboots · 24/05/2026 04:55

I slept and woke up with a start at 4.30. Realised I hadn’t charged my electric car which I need for work today, so got up and now I’m sat at the garage doing a fast charge! Good job I did wake up or I’d have been very late for work!!

UndoRedo · 24/05/2026 04:55

GreenfingeredGlenda · 24/05/2026 04:49

@UndoRedo mine does that, he is also a twat. He knows that I get up after the first swipe so that the second doesn’t smash anything.

He then does this sort of surprised look like "oh you're awake, what a coincidence, so am I!"

He's been known to claw my eye ball in case I don't get the hint fast enough
