Please help me think where my phone might be!!!

Samsung smart things isn't locating it.

I am confident it is in the house. I have 2 toddlers. I noticed last night it was missing. But I hoped it would just turn up.

To make it worse it is my work phone and there is a lot of things that have 2 step verification now so I can't log into things

The company know I use it as a personal phone too, they offered when I started. It has two sims.

Use Tile to reverse find it from your keys.

Alternatively, check down the back of the sofa.

Found mine in my apron pocket once having torn the house apart.

Definitely St Anthony.

Assume find my android/iPhone isn't working?! I can ask Google to find my phone from the Google nest home mini speaker thing as well.

MamaBobo · 05/05/2026 14:02

Can you remember when you last had it for certain? Start there and walk through everything you’ve done since….rooms visited, cupboards opened, places you’ve sat down, done tasks etc. Really helpful if you have laid it down somewhere random like the top of the wardrobe or next to the laundry basket.

You weren’t interrupted while using it…laid it down to do something else?

All over the car….in the boot, under the seats, down the sides of the seats, especially inside the seats next to the centre console, under the floor mats, under the stuff in the glove compartment, stuck inside something in the glove compartment.

Completely empty any handbags/work bags, don’t just look inside them.

Kitchen cupboards? The fridge?

Hopefully your prayers will be answered….I am terrible for this and feel your pain. Do let us know where you find it….believe and you will!

Lost mine for 5 days.
I knew it was in the house.
i found it wedged between the mattress and frame and the corner of my dds bed it had no business being there

Hang on in there.

I "cleared" rooms.
Like top to bottomed

My vote goes to the toy box. Tip them all out and empty any item which could feasibly act as a container/bucket/holder of things. It’ll be in there.

givemushypeasachance · 05/05/2026 14:14

What were you doing when you remember having it last - scrolling on the sofa or on the loo? Or using it for directions in the car? Responding to a text in the kitchen?

Riapia · 05/05/2026 14:26

It will confidently predict that it will be in the last place that you look.

Gawdimold · 05/05/2026 14:27

If it’s only silent close the curtains and phone it- I should light up

Tcateh · 05/05/2026 14:38

In the bathroom or loo?
I often put mine on the window sill.
Or face down on the towel on the radiator (rad is never on)
Food cupboard.
Slipped down side of sofa.
Mistaken it for a remote control on a surface in living room.
Shelf in kids room

LittlestBoho · 05/05/2026 15:12

I'm really invested now - did you find it?

My guess is it was in a coat pocket, when you never usually use the pockets so you forgot about it.

Swissrailways · 05/05/2026 15:26

Look inside any shoes that are around. That was DDs favourite place to put things she'd no business having hold of.

Needtosoundoffandbreathe · 05/05/2026 15:47

Ask the kids separately if they have put it somewhere. DN put Grandma's car key in a cupboard having taken them off the key holder. Check the bins and under the sofa, fridge, etc.

LauraNever · 05/05/2026 16:50

I don’t know if Siri works on android but when I lose my iPhone I ask Siri to play music and as long as I’m in the same room as it it plays. I often have to tour the house asking Siri in every room but it works!

ArabellaWeird · 05/05/2026 16:54

Presuming it's on silent, you can Google Find My Phone from your laptop if it's Android, or iCloud if it's Apple, both options will play a loud alert from a phone that's on silent and show you the whereabouts.

You can then do a factory reset remotely if it looks like it's been stolen.

SonyaLoosemore · 05/05/2026 17:00

Check all pockets of all clothes.
Check all drawers it might have fallen into.
Offer the toddlers a treat if they can produce it, no questions asked.
Then please repeat for my reading glasses last seen at Christmas.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 05/05/2026 17:04

Could be anywhere. In between something or under down sofa sides.

changedmyname24 · 05/05/2026 17:05

If you think a toddler has put it somewhere, give them a different phone & watch where they put it.

Bubblebathbefore8 · 05/05/2026 17:07

Try in pushchair ?

Do you have a cat? They’re sneaky buggers.

AnnaQuayRules · 05/05/2026 17:11

Do you have a dog? Our dog likes hiding things in shoes although he then tries to get them out again immediately.

I think everyone has suggested all the obvious places so I've nothing else to add.

Roselilly36 · 05/05/2026 17:12

I live in a household where things always seem to get lost (DH & Adult Sons) they are experts at losing, keys, sunglasses, phones etc. usually I find items tucked down in sofa cushions, in a coat they have forgotten they have worn, in trouser pockets, the bathroom etc. good luck I hope you find it soon.

Haffway · 05/05/2026 17:12

Are you fully paid up with St Anthony? He’s a hold out if you have outstanding debt.

No idea if you can do equivalent on android but on iPhone, I can use my AirPods to tell Siri to set a 5 second timer which rings much louder and longer than the tiny finder pings.

Duchessofmuchness · 05/05/2026 17:14

Where I have found before …
Under the bed covers in any room
in the linen cupboard:towel cupboard
in a bathroom cupboard or drawers (where you keep tooth paste, moisturisers etc )
Toy boxes
fridge, food cupboards
a coat pocket of coat I had forgotten I’d worn
doem side of sofa/ under cushion
