Please help me think where my phone might be!!!

Samsung smart things isn't locating it.

I am confident it is in the house. I have 2 toddlers. I noticed last night it was missing. But I hoped it would just turn up.

To make it worse it is my work phone and there is a lot of things that have 2 step verification now so I can't log into things

The company know I use it as a personal phone too, they offered when I started. It has two sims.

Does it have Life360 on it? If so someone in your circle can send an alert to it which sounds even if the phone is silenced.

I feel like a lost cause all right!

Just checking - you are posting here from your laptop right? Because there was this one time when I had been wasting time for far too long on mumsnet and on various semi-addictive gaming apps, when I remembered that there was an important phonecall I needed to make, and quite genuinely I started to look for my phone while my phone was already in my hand because I had momentarily forgotten that the device for timewasting on mumsnet and gaming apps was the same thing as the device for making phone calls.

Have you looked at toddler height?
On top of the washing machine?
Low shelves ?

CombatBarbie · 05/05/2026 18:31

Lost mine once.....was still on the mount in the car!!

If you are adamant its in the house, get on your hands and knees at toddler level. Once hunted high and low for a bank card (before Google pay etc) was in the dvd player 🙄🙄

LancashireButterPie · 05/05/2026 19:18

Have the toddlers been in the garden at all? Check sandpit (location of my missing car keys) and drains (DHs mobile was once posted through the slats in a drain cover, which makes sense as toddlers do like shape sorting).

Otherwise check between the back of the car seat and where it touches the seat, we find all sorts there.

Behind the books on the bookcase

Notmycircusnotmyotter · 05/05/2026 20:15

I've lost a diamond necklace I treasure. Can anyone find it for me? I've checked everywhere.

FirstdatesFred · 05/05/2026 20:27

What was your gut reaction about where it was when you started looking? For me that’s usually right it’s just slipped down or something!

Forevergardening · 06/05/2026 18:16

Do you have decking or something outside where it could have fell down a gap, or a nearby drain grid or such like?

BorisTheShark · 06/05/2026 18:37

I know yours is an android, but when I can’t find my iphone, I walk around asking Siri where she is, and she answers out loud even if it’s on silent.

do androids have a Siri type thing?

youwouldthink · 06/05/2026 18:46

Have you tried closing all curtains and dialling to see if you can see it light up?
And rather randomly behind the fish tank is where my toddler at the time hid mine!!

plantladeeee · 06/05/2026 18:50

I lost the tv remote for days and it was behind the curtain on the windowsill the bit that still covers the window even when open.
last time I lost my phone me and my daughter were looking for it. It was ringing and she kept saying it’s over here, now it’s over here … it was in her pocket 🤣 she thought the one in her pocket was hers!

sueelleker · 06/05/2026 18:52

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 05/05/2026 08:52

Is it on silent?

Can’t you simply call the number?

My first thought!

Daisymay2 · 06/05/2026 18:57

I lost my keys once when DS was a toddler. House turned upside down. He had very kindly put them in the third drawer of the unit in the hall. I kept them in the top drawer, and he put them in the one he could reach. Could your toddlers have tried to put it somewhere useful? ( 30 years on he is still very tidy)

Thindog · 06/05/2026 18:58

Get a large needle and stab the back of the sofa, saying, "I stick thee Saint Nick."
It will turn up.

Civilservant · 06/05/2026 19:24

car - side pockets or under a seat.
nook of your work bag.
other handbag, sports bag, lunch bag.
under a bed.
in a pile of laundry.

Dressingandimpressing · 06/05/2026 20:49

Our toddler hid the keys in his toy oven and the spare set he’d posted behind the TV stand - I miss those days!!!

redhotandsweaty · 06/05/2026 20:57

Mine had fallen out of my bag in the boot and slipped underneath the main boot area into the compartment where the spare wheel is. Good luck!

largeprintagathachristie · 06/05/2026 21:26

When I did this recently- and of course the phone was on silent - I eventually found it when I had given it up as lost (or stolen) - the last place I’d seen it was on my desk at work.

The next day I opened a locked cupboard and it turned out I’d scooped up the phone in a bundle of paperwork and it was in there.

Madisnttheword · 06/05/2026 21:30

It's where the table and sofa meet. Somewhere in that general area

Purpl · 06/05/2026 21:42

Try the car under seats in the middle bit msy have slipped out of bag. Dressing gown pockets random places like the fridge. Washing basket. Cant you call it grom abother phone ?

pitchblackromance · 06/05/2026 22:30

Are logged into a Google account on it? There's normally something through Google that can send a noise to it (so long as it isn't turned off or flat)

Isinglass20 · 06/05/2026 22:32

Act out physically from when you last used or had the phone. You dropped car keys into tray, took off your jacket and hung it up, walked into kitchen………until it clicks in your mind where you put the phone down.
In bed close your eyes and visualise exactly the same and sometimes you wake up and your mind has remembered……

somethingischasingme · 06/05/2026 23:21

It’s on top of your Alexa/ home hub/ smart speaker from when you were listening to an audio book in the kitchen and somehow your phone wasn’t connecting.

There is a whole nation of Irish grandmother's who would disagree with you. But ok I'll ask st Jude too! I'm only religious on festivals, and when I need something 🤣

St Anthony for lost things, St Jude for desperate situations and lost causes. I think both apply to you 😆 Our Lady is the Untier of Knots so might help you out too😅
