Please help me think where my phone might be!!!

Samsung smart things isn't locating it.

I am confident it is in the house. I have 2 toddlers. I noticed last night it was missing. But I hoped it would just turn up.

To make it worse it is my work phone and there is a lot of things that have 2 step verification now so I can't log into things

The company know I use it as a personal phone too, they offered when I started. It has two sims.

sounds bonkers but my mother in law (equally barmy!) found her phone in the freezer as it'd fallen in with some shopping and she put the whole bag in there!😄

CoverLikelyZebra · 07/05/2026 08:57

Any luck @pontipinemum ?

Melarus · 07/05/2026 13:38

Of all the posts where the OP doesn't come back and update, this one is giving me particular rage, for some reason (and yes I know IABU)

Picklepickle5 · 07/05/2026 16:31

Why not call the number and find it when it rings?

MrsMe1978 · 07/05/2026 23:14

I lost my phone last week, couldn’t find it. Got my husband to call it. It was in my Sons laundry basket, I must of had it in my hand when picking his dirty clothes off the floor and put it in the basket with them. Good job was in there and not the washing machine 🤣

Karmacamelia · 07/05/2026 23:23

Did you use a different bag/jacket to the one you usually wear? I thought i'd lost my purse and found it in a bag i dont usually use and had forgotten

deeahgwitch · 05/07/2026 09:20

Did you find it @pontipinemum ?

Did you find it @pontipinemum ?

I did, it was absolutely wedged under/ inside the couch!

You were lucky. Mine was in the washing machine!

deeahgwitch · 06/07/2026 08:15

That’s great @pontipinemum
Was it missing long before you eventually found it ?

pontipinemum · 06/07/2026 08:18

@deeahgwitch I can't even remember I think it was about 2 days. It is a couch with pull out seats. I have lost phones down there before but I could not see it at all. I also can't remember if I paid St Anthony, better do it again just in case 😂

I hate it when this happens. Room by room, left to right in a circle. Check absolutely everywhere. It's the only way!

deeahgwitch · 06/07/2026 14:34

Oh definitely pay St Anthony @pontipinemum
He’s a great man for finding things so best keep him on side 😀
He’s only let me down once and I think the watch was actually nicked when it fell off my hand.
Someone couldn’t believe their luck. They didn’t hand it in. 🥲
So I was actually asking for a miracle.

My work phone has form for slotting itself into notebooks and remaining hidden even when I pull them all out of my work bag.

I've found mine in the washing basket more than once from when I've been holding it and depositing washing at the same time... good luck, it is maddening

I've done similar except the other way round- collecting washing. After a frantic hour searching for my phone, I heard a faint ringing from the spin cycle.... I'll give to to Apple though, it still works fine (even after a 60 degree sports wash with extra steam...)

southeasticelandbaileyfaeroes · 06/07/2026 16:06

we found one once inside the sofa

CelticSilver · 06/07/2026 17:03

I caught my toddler carefully pushing my phone under the fridge once. It was on silent, I wouldn't have found it until we next moved house.

If it’s an iPhone you can go on find my iPhone and “play sound”

even if it’s on silent it will play a very loud noise. You can also show it’s location on another phone.

used ever day in this house. We all have family sharing so one of us loses a phone/airpods/whatever we can locate it from another’s phone.

It was ten years ago, and an android. Not quite a brick but certainly not with such newfangled technology!

FuckingDone · 06/07/2026 17:11

theres a video doing the rounds of how to set up an automation on an iPhone, so if someone texts you something specific (like ‘lost phone’, or whatever you choose) it will turn your phone off silent and then up the volume to 100% (and then play a song but I couldn’t do that using Spotify).

id ask AI how to do it on a Samsung and set it up on your phone for the inevitable next time!

I caught my toddlers pushing mine into the gap between the dishwasher and the counter top!
