The Alzheimer Society says there is no established causal link between aluminium and Alzheimer’s disease.
www.alzheimersresearchuk.org/news/aluminium-and-alzheimers/

No established causal link and no evidence are very different things.

Plenty of studies like this one: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0147651325011042

There was no causal link between glyphosate and cancer until there was! I’d rather be safe than sorry by following the early evidence.

One of the few food pics I have on my phone. This was the 1st meal DP ever cooked for me. Hiding under the veg was really tender lamb. For the avoidance of any doubt, I kept him!

9.5/10 I love tender lamb

Here’s mine tonight - nhs finest - stale roll and butter, lentil soup, some type of sponge and watery custard and vanilla flavour ice cream. I’m in a side room which does have advantages but I think they keep cobbling together what ever’s left…

I’ve had a lot worse!

retaildispute · 04/05/2026 18:34

Healthy but looks very bland. Might be more appetising if you’d shredded the chicken and thrown it all in together with a nice dressing.

Downunderduchess · 04/05/2026 18:38

I made a delish dish last night with chickpeas, it didn’t look the best but it was tasty and filling.

So you don’t eat beans/pulses, could cous, or any salad? Doesn’t that limit your diet a tad? What do you eat?

I eat some beans (low FODMAP diet due to complications of Ehlers-Danlos) but hot and in things like chilli and fajitas. Couscous occasionally but it's not my first (or third) choice.
I do have cucumber but it's with two specific cheeses, other than that...

You inspired a chicken/salad/carbs dinner in this household!

Nicely done

DilemmaDelilah · 04/05/2026 20:18

3/10. Sorry. I'm sure it's fine if you like those things... and I love a chicken salad, but I don't like dark chicken meat, only breast, I don't like cucumber and I can't stand bean salad.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/05/2026 20:29

Didn't do a picture , but I made rice with mushrooms, red pepper, tinned sweetcorn with a garnish of crispy onions and crisp oven cooked tofu with black bean and soy sauce ( chilli sauce for DD)
It was delicious, vegan, lots of colour . Bit salty but lush .

Greywizard · 04/05/2026 20:37

9/10 because I would like my chicken stripped off the bone. But DH it would be 10/10 as he likes his chicken on the bone . Children (adults only like the breast or thigh!)
