This looks lovely. I too am addicted to savory yoghurt. My favorite chopped fresh mint, ground cumin and pinch of paprika, garlic and lemon juice. I can eat that on its own in a bowl

Oh I’ll have to try that! I made a marmite one the other day which was amazing

You should try adding dill and mint sauce to your yoghurt, incredible

DancingNotDrowning · 04/05/2026 12:26

I couldn’t eat that chicken it looks very unappetising - definitely prefer my chicken with some seasoning and crispy skin.

maybe a 2? I’d really struggle to eat that if served it.

I’ve just eaten a marmite sandwich and a packet of kettle chips so I realise I’m not winning prizes either 😂

That anaemic slab of chicken is making me nauseous.

ayvasili · 04/05/2026 12:29

Op I would eat your food, if your chicken was seasoned and your salad was dressed 7/10

TinyTempest · 04/05/2026 12:29

That anaemic slab of chicken is making me nauseous.

It's actually done the same for me and I've got a strong stomach! 😬

Pinkdumpling · 04/05/2026 12:30

I hope you enjoy it but not for me, that chicken looks awful.
Chicken rice salad and beans not something that i would eat.

As an aside, I've never understood people using chopsticks to eat rice when a spoon or fork is far more practical.

It looks amazing though!

This

WhatAMarvelousTune · 04/05/2026 12:32

I think if the chicken was chopped up and mixed in with the couscous maybe, it would look more appealing. Plus I think it would be annoying to try and cut the chicken on the plate as it’s quite full.

BeanMeUp · 04/05/2026 12:32

Did you cook the chicken with a hairdryer?

7in1Pond · 04/05/2026 12:34

7/10- you could have made the chicken more interesting but the beans and couscous are good. Salad looks undressed which is a mark off for me but maybe you are trying to keep the cals down.

HoppityBun · 04/05/2026 12:34

Poor thing. It didn’t have much of a life. Its death was traumatic and now look at it.

Aliceinmunsnetland · 04/05/2026 12:39

That belongs in a specimen jar for medical teaching.

ginasevern · 04/05/2026 12:47

@horlickstablets Your plate looks lush (as we say in Bristol) and I'm obsessed with savoury yoghurt too. And @Takemytimeandhurryup Love your savoury yoghurt recipe. Will definitely be trying that.

I agree with everyone else about the OP's plate. Unfortunately the large piece of anaemic chicken is a bit off putting. The rest looks nice though. So 7/10 from me.

The crisps in the marmite sandwich would elevate it to sandwich superstar status. 😋

sporkandfoon · 04/05/2026 12:52

6/10.

Cous cous, beans, and salad look lovely but very dry. Based on those three components I’d have gone for an 7/10.

Sadly, the chicken is really letting you down, it’s medieval-looking to me. At least a little dusting of black pepper would’ve bumped you up to a 7. Crispy, seasoned skin and a ‘wetter’ salad would’ve got you an 8.

I’m in no place to judge though seeing as my lunch was a Super Noodle sandwich…

The huge hunk of animal flesh makes it a 0/10 for me.

Yup. Me too

canklesmctacotits · 04/05/2026 12:53

Always interesting to me to see other people’s choices, ideas, portion sizes etc when they’re in the quiet of their own homes and nobody is watching. I would never make the effort to make my food look as pretty as the Chinese pork and rice 😂. I would never double carb potatoes and pita bread, never mind adding on two boiled eggs but again the presentation is 💯. Similar thoughts re the chicken leg and how I’d eat that on a plate full of food that would go flying!

Threesloths · 04/05/2026 12:55

The chicken looks like a small bald animal

SnowFrogJelly · 04/05/2026 12:57

Chicken does not look appetising

NoMoreSocks · 04/05/2026 12:58

Plate 1- 4/10
Plate is pleasantly retro, food is colourful, I like cous cous, lots of different elements
but
it looks cold, the chicken looks bland and shoved on top looks awful, the whole thing looks incredibly dry, and I hate tomatoes.

Edited

Super noodle sandwich is food of the gods. Chicken flavour, thick white bread, plenty of butter 🤤🤤🤤

Yeah I had 2 meals only that day hence adding extra, even with double carbs it’s not too high calorie
