Yes. And this is a government that has been under sanctions for it's entire existence. With a massive inland sea to the north that gives direct access to Russia and central Asia. And Trump thinks shutting it's southern ports will somehow do something.

And Trump says he is waiting for Iran to submit their "proposal". They have, it's Trump who has been coy about that.

I’ve not really been sure how much ‘power’ and/or ‘bargaining power’ Iran really had against the US. I own to finding that last Lego video re ghosting the US pretty good whilst thinking perhaps they were pushing it if they did just not engage with the talks yesterday.

However, they seem to be in a good position and obviously understand Trump, or at least have plans/responses lined up - so much more than the mango Mussolini has at least. I know other stuff will be going on as well as that which I read/see.

I don’t know anything about warfare, different military powers they have etc etc - but if it wasn’t so dreadful it would be interesting watching this play out so openly - reminds me nearly of history lessons where we had wars broken down into stages/numbered sentences for learning them, but we are just about seeing it happen in ‘sentences’ in real time, which is interesting - I’m not actually sure it usually would be like this in real life - I also of course wish it wasn’t happening at all.

Maybe negotiations would be more fluid if Trump shut up with the threats, Iran had not been attacked twice while negotiating before and I suppose all sides of this war have seen each other re-arm during the ceasefire, plus the blockade of the open/ close Strait.....
I hope all parties find a way to get themselves to the table, if only through the third party pass the message system if they are not going to be face to face.
The extension of the ceasefire is great. But it takes for the 3 sides to agree to make it real. Not just Trump saying so.

The latest news is not good at all. IRGC has now announced that if they are attacked then all GCC assisting the US will have their oil fields at risk.

China might be the key that unblocks the blockade, while Pakistan is working hard to keep talks on the table.
