I’m not often speechless, but I think this time he has succeeded

Almost every day I see images or posts from Trump and think "that's got to be a spoof account" but no.

I cannot understand why Congress hasn't intervened. There's a clause in the Constitution that allows for the removal of the president if he or she is unfit for office.

And why aren't his supporters finally coming to their senses? A lot of US citizens are very religious, surely they find this offensive?

I can't get my head around Catholics voting for the GOP , at least this version of it. It's chock full of Evangelicals who hate Catholics and don't even regard them as Christians. Hegseth excluded Catholics from prayers on Good Friday. Wakey wakey !

Vance is a dreadful, venal human being and I think he's every bit as awful as Trump. I will never forgive him for his appalling behaviour towards Zelensky, and he doesn't have dementia and unchecked megalomania as an excuse for his horrible, filthy attitudes and lack of any kind of intelligent judgement.

catholicism seems to be at least trying to modernise. It seems a lot more tolerant of homosexuality, abortion, premarital sex etc than some of the American fundamentalists. I’m not convinced quite yet but am watching with interest.
