Anyone else staying up to watch the launch to navigate the moon? I didn’t realise until this evening it’s the first launch in 5 decades!

We are all friends with Reid, Victor, Christina and Jeremy now 😂

Didn’t think they would actually show the separation.

NASA's channel is a bit too cerebral for me, so I'm watching Garron Noone's live as he waits for splashdown with a bottle of beer.

I’m watching sky news. I’m hooked but super nervous for them

I’m struggling to keep my eyes open and DH is dozing in and out but this is incredibly exciting. I jumped out of my seat when it separated. I can’t even imagine how the astronauts must feel right now! They’re just saying how they’ll loose connection with them for a short time due to the build up of plasma from the friction caused by the re-entry, which blows my mind.

Yes at 53 minutes past they will loose connection for 6 minutes eeek

This 6 minutes might be worse than the 40mins they were on the other side of the moon.

The orange glow appearing from around their window before the feed cut off was mad to watch!

And yes also keeping an eye on Flightradar, and the NASA plane.

Watching with our 25 year old son, husband’s fallen asleep though.
