Do you buy adult DCs an Easter egg ?

I still get one off my DM as does DH off of my DM
I still buy for our adult dc and their partner . In fact I still do a Easter basket for adult dc and partner - see also Xmas treat box .
The partner said today they love it as their parents don't do it after age 16 . Which is probably pretty standard.

I just would feel bad not doing it now, plus I do enjoy doing it. This year I started buying when offers started to spread the cost though as some were daft prices

Yes, still buy eggs for my sons and daughters in law, they're all in their mid forties 😊

If you live near enough to deliver in person then why not? It’s a nice gesture. If you have to post it or aren’t seeing them over Easter I wouldn’t bother.

I always had one from my parents, and I get them for adult family members. If you look at eggs on sale they are not all for children, there are lots aimed at adult tastes.

Nope, I don’t. I wouldn’t mind doing it if DD really wanted an Easter egg but she never ate them (doesn’t have a sweet tooth!) and eventually asked me to stop buying them when she was about 17/18. I usually give her £20 and a card in lieu. Inevitably DM will still always buy her one - I always end up eating it months later before it goes out of date!

I'm getting my 18 year old one. Not my eldest as he's too far away, but I would if he was closer.

Mine are 16, 18 and 19 and I buy them Easter eggs and other treats and also the 19 year old’s girlfriend. And one for my husband. No intention of ever stopping!

My children all adults but I always get them am Easter egg .Middle child in Australia and accepts that Easter bunny cannot hop that far 😂

Yes I buy for mum and she buys for me . A little Easter bag with egg , card and small gift . Granddogs also buy her an egg .

Our cat buys our 27 year old dd a chocolate egg 🤣 Same cat also gives her a Xmas stocking filled with skincare goodies 😬

I also bought 3 eggs this year for my gardeners children . They lost their mum when young and money is really tight .

Yep, my mum buys for all of us - 4 of us in our 40’s and 50’s and all the grandchildren.
My adult son has autism and doesn’t like chocolate - so grandma gives him £10 and I buy him gifts.
this year he’s got a requested tennis racquet!

Yes for them both and their partners. Easter bag filled with Eggs, Easter sweets, Easter cake and daffodils. I’m 55 and my parents (80+) still give me one (plus about 20 other people, bless them)

So I've always bought, even asked what they want (4+1boyfriend). Sometimes they want versions that are bloody hard to find. I'll admit that this year, and I suspect because I'm going through a divorce (he's found a Thai woman), I'm struggling with the fact that none of them (despite the eldest being 26) ever think to buy me one. Same with advent calendars. So I'll be honest this year I was slightly resentful, but I voiced it to one as a passing comment so may indeed get my first for many many years.

I didn't by dc 24 and 19 an advent calender last year for the first time as I didn't think they'd be bothered by it. Dogs got one though 😁
They were most put out by it, they went out and bought one so must remember to get them one this year 😂

I gave my ds25 and dd23 (plus partner) Easter eggs with some chocolate and £200 gift cards for food shopping.

They both have their own homes and have had for years, but I figured they could use it to treat themselves to something nice now that everything is so expensive.

I get eggs for dcs (20 and 16) and have for ds1’s gf. Ds20 has also asked for an Easter egg hunt - he’s become very nostalgic since going to uni! In-laws always get us all some chocolate so we also get some for them - not my mum though as she stopped buying for me when I was a teenager and the same with the grandchildren.

DH is currently out buying mini eggs so we can do an Easter Egg hunt for the 20 and 22 year olds…

Do you actually hide proper mini eggs or just small eggs wrapped in foil?

We fill plastic eggs with mini eggs and hide them around the garden. We’ve been using the same set of eggs and baskets since they were little kids, and hiding the eggs in much the same places, and they still take forever to find them…
