Do you buy adult DCs an Easter egg ?

I still get one off my DM as does DH off of my DM
I still buy for our adult dc and their partner . In fact I still do a Easter basket for adult dc and partner - see also Xmas treat box .
The partner said today they love it as their parents don't do it after age 16 . Which is probably pretty standard.

I just would feel bad not doing it now, plus I do enjoy doing it. This year I started buying when offers started to spread the cost though as some were daft prices

Yes, I buy my DD and her bf and egg as well as an advent calendar. My mum usually gets me one too but only after Easter when they are half price 😂.
I often get my sister one too.
I've previously got them from work before, even if it's only a small one it's a nice touch.

I used to buy my adult kids and their partners an egg each, but I'm having to cut my spending so I get them one between each couple. I also buy one for my friend, who buys for her relatives but never gets one back.

My kids tend to buy me flowers at Easter. I would rather have chocolate, but I take the flowers gratefully.

Just my adult DC and DGC but adults usually get a few mini eggs or a bar of chocolate rather than full-size eggs.

My DM buys me one and gives me money too.

I’m 54, brother 52. I still get my mum something for Easter (not an egg) but chocolates.

What madness is this? Advent is a specific season leading up to Christmas. It isn't just a word that means "a certain number of days before something else that can be ticked off". You can't have an Easter Advent calendar.

On a related note I've never seen an Advent calendar that actually covered Advent correctly. It rarely starts on 1 December and always finishes on 24th, not the 25th. But that's besides the current point.

My niece is 29 I sent her some Easter chocs and will keep doing so!!

I send my adult DDs a just eat gift card so they can treat themselves to a takeaway .. neither are very keen on choc.

My mother always buys for us as well as her grandchildren. I think that we'd all be questioning it if she didn't!

can I just say to all the other posters who buy adult eggs and all the adults who get eggs from their parents I find that really lovely and please don’t stop. My mum (dad dead) doesn’t even buy her granddaughter (her only granddaughter) who has just turned 16 an easter egg so there’s no chance of me getting one from her! When I was a kid I’d go to bed with an egg in the cupboard and she’d have eaten it when I got up after she’d had a drink. Eggs are triggering for me!!

Yes I buy for DS and his girlfriend - can’t imagine not doing so unless he stops liking chocolate! We also give money as well at Easter so he can get himself something he likes.

If dd1 was home from uni anybtime around Easter, yes I would. She left 1 each for all of us when she came home a month ago. If I can grab any discounted ones after Easter I'll get her & her bf one, I'll see her jn about 6 weeks time now.

I still do an Easter egg hunt for however many kids are here for Easter Sunday. I did one for dd2 (17) last year. She was halfway through it when dd1 (22) arrived home & was very put out so she joined in 🤣

I think it’s pretty standard until (or if!) they have children, then you buy for the grandchildren.

My Mum stopped buying them while just still lived at home but my husband buys me one now.

My dad usually gives our kids eggs and me a bunch of flowers and then a box of chocolates for me and DH to share. MIL usually gives me and DH a ginormous dairy milk bar each.

Nope apart from myself. WAY too expensive especially with the Cost of Living. I have spent enough on kids over the years and my money is for me first now.

My adult child, 55, will be getting their usual Easter egg. Child's partner will be getting a six pack of their favourite beer - they don't like chocolate.

I can afford it, they like their gifts, I like giving. It's a win/win.
