It's almost a relief that they've given up on bothering to make the lies even remotely believable.

That Kennedy person has a voice that is painful to listen to. I know that's because of one of his many medical problems, yet I can't get to the end of that video. This probably makes me a nasty person, but there it is.

Thanks to @RedTagAlan I'm now almost uptodate on anti drone lasers, who's making them, who's testing them and who's buying them.😜
At c$13 a pop this is the future of warfare; cheap defence against cheap drones.

Funny enough, I was thinking just the other day that Vance is awful quiet because he is Vatican "aligned". That appears to be how it works.

Not really sure about that. The current Vatican has been pretty vocal about not liking his particular branding on that. I think he's mostly trying-desperately-to-save-his-own-political future aligned.

I'm finding it very amusing that Iran is asking for him as the negotiator. They know it puts him in a very difficult position.

Would you mind explaining this a little @walllaw ?

I am not seeing any lasers being deployed to the gulf. So a long way from the $13 dollar pops. It's still a $million per big boom.

Here is another to add to your list :-)

I LOVE the comments!

All I have to say is RFK Jr is so full of shit it's starting to come out both ends.

I was a young teen during RFK Sr's 'heyday'. I was a huge supporter of his in his campaign for the '68 election although obvs too young to vote. It just makes me sick to see how his 'namesake' has turned out. I feel so sorry for his siblings having him for a brother. Considering what his 'policies' are likely to do to the American public, it must be like having a potential mass murderer for a sibling.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 29/03/2026 16:59

And yet when he was younger he seemed to be at least half-way sensible, at least about the environment. His progress from there to batshit might yet turn out to be because of that brainworm.

I see Zelenskyy has landed in Jordan now after his $billion deal with the Saudis. High level security meetings.

Trump must be kicking himself. If he thought this war would automatically translate to bungs to himself from the US MIC, he will be pissed that Zelenskyy is "nicking" some. Or that's how he will see it.

I saw on PRC state media this week that China claims to have an anti drone laser. But near everyone does, except Ukraine it seems. Nobody has deployed anti drone lasers. But Ukraine has deployed anti drone drones ?

It will be interesting to see if any successes are reported re Ukrainian tech in the Gulf.

It defo looks like another eff up from the smartest man in the world.

The part about Iran asking for him as a negotiator?

He's trying to both crawl up Trump's arse and distance himself from this very unpopular war simultaneously. So he has to keep Trump happy but try to find a face-saving way out of this all while still making it clear he really disapproves of the illegal war, and I suspect the Iranians know this. He's trying to hold onto both the Trumpers and the America First side of the divide.

If only someone had developed a plan for keeping all your aerial assets spaced out - you know in the same way Russia should have when Ukraine destroyed their bomber fleet.

Oh, they did. It's a shame that MAGAnauts need to have someone read to them

Interesting snip here too logicisall. Sky feed.

"One-way attack drones taken out by RAF Regiment Gunners overnight
Earlier we told you the national guard in Kuwait said its troops had shot down four drones this morning.
Now we've heard the RAF Regiment Gunners took out seven one-way attack drones overnight.
UK Typhoons and F-35 jets have continued their defensive missions overnight, including over Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain and the UAE, the UK's ministry of defence said.
UK Wildcats continued their patrols over the Eastern Mediterranean, it added."

That will be rifles or machine guns I guess. Interesting that this is at night. I am thinking it must be a floodlit airbase perimeter, with gunners lined up like a grouse shoot.

I can see the sporting country folk from the big estates paying to do that. A sort of cross between a grouse drive and a tiger hunt of old.

Absolutely amazing that they managed to keep a whole load of planes close together on the tarmac on a base the Iranians already hit after Ukrainians have been doing this to Russians for years.

Even if the war is won and the Iranians are powerless.

Has anyone ever gone into a war as completely unprepared for their enemy as this? They are in danger of making Vietnam War look competent.

If you believe some people, Britain in 1914. 1939. 1982. 1991. 2003.

You get the picture ....

More "big balls and prayers" from Kesbreath than "lessons learned" ?

Also, they are used to air superiority. So presumably used to not having to worry that much about reducing damage from air strikes (by spacing apart assets) because I guess the working assumption is that successful air strikes would be prevented from happening. Especially given the fact they completely destroyed Iran's air capacity 🙄
Presumably a combination of drones and new technologies challenging old assumptions and a leadership that's not competant enough to react to those changes (or even make sure existing protocols are enacted just in case).

Good points. And thinking on it, it could be because they think a pack is easier to defend because the defenses are less spaced out ? But the flaw with that of course is that they appear to have not many defenses ?

Makes my head spin. But I am sure the orange turd could explain it all.

It's cheaper to keep things together. Critical when you are trying to ensure as much of your budget goes to TrumpCo as possible.

A fully fueled aircraft on the ground can quite legitimately be called "a bomb".

Some gaffer tape should do it.

Apparently that’s where the radar on those intelligence planes is. If that’s the case, it seems to be an incredibly precise hit.

@Spandauer that is so upsetting, seeing the science defunding stats in black and white.
The wars can be afforded, but not the research that improves human lives. It's so fucked up.
