When did your DS catch up with you height wise?

How tall are you and at what age did your DS catch with you?
(Specifically DSs as they typically tend to grow taller than their mothers)

I'm 5'7 and just realised this morning that DS just turned 12 was eyeball to eyeball with me.
Older DDs are 5'9 and 5'8.

I'm 5'8 and he matched my height at 14. Now he's 17, the same height as his dad at 6'2, and still growing! According to that toddler height calculation he's supposed to hit 6'3, and I think he'll make it easily (and perhaps surpass it).

I'm 5ft 3 and DS9 is 4ft 9

I was taught in a genetics class years ago as part of my masters degree that sons will ALWAYS be taller than their mothers. From my observations of the world this seems to be true!

If anyone knows an adult son shorter than his mother please let me know, I love a bit of genetic rule breaking 😁

DH is 6’1 so DS has a good chance of being a 6 footer!

I’m 5’7”. Dc were probably around 13 when they overtook me. One’s now 6’5” and the other is 6’3”.

Gosh I hope so, I wouldn’t want my sons to be under 5 foot 1. How unfortunate

I’m 5ft 10, he overtook me at 13 and 6ft DH at 14. He’s 6ft 2 at 15, it’s incredible to watch!

Both got me Feb half term in y7.

DD was taller than me at 11.6.

Ds was 12.4 when he overtook me. 2 years later he puts his chin on the top of my head.

I'm only 5'2 though. Think he's 5'10/11 at least but still growing like a weed. He'll overtake his 6' dad soon. It must be strange to be so far away from your feet

I’m 5’7” and DS12 is pretty much the same height as me now.

I'm 5'8" DS overtook me at 15.

Now he's 6'2" and I have to look up when I hug him. 😁

5,5 here. He’s in year 6 age 11 and only an inch to go!

theres a huge age gap between my youngest brother and me. I’m 165cm and he was the same height as me at age 9. He ended up 2m tall. My youngest son I reckon will be my height by about 10/11 if he keeps Growing rate he is now.

I'm nearly 5 ft 5. DS caught up with me at 13 and is now 6 ft 1 at 18.

He hasn't, we are both 5'5" adults.

12. I’m 5’3 and he was 3cm taller by the time he was 12y & 11m old!!

he is now 13yo & 10m and is about 10cm taller than me!!

I’m 5ft 8” and DS will be 12 in June. He is currently my height.

I’m just under 5ft4 - ds caught me up at 13 and fully grown he’s over 6ft4!!

He was my height (5’7) at 13 and is now 5’10 at 14.

My grandson is taller than me. Sons have been since about 12/13 I’m 5 foot 6

I’m 5’5” and DS has overtaken me in the past year. He’s 14.5.

I'm 5'3" and my son over took me aged 13.

When he just turned 13 he was up to my ears, a year later I was up to his ears. I have the photos on the wall and it doesn't look like just a year between the pics. I think this summer I'll only be up to his shoulders.

Envious of all the cuddles you get from teenage sons. I have to rely on my youngest for hugs. No way my oldest would give me one.

I'm 5'10" and my son met my height at 13. We're both very long legged and he does look a bit ungainly like Bambi. He wears a size 10 shoe at the moment (I'm an 8). My husband is 6'4" with size 13 feet. I'm in for an expensive clothes shopping over the next few years I think!

I’m 5’ 6” and DS overtook me just after he turned 11yo. He has always been tall.

I'm 5ft7 he was 12 or 13 when I realised he was a tad taller, at 18 he is now 6ft4 and in size 15 shoes. I'm the shortest adult in my family and he has two grandads at 6ft6.

I recognise this. One of DS1’s sports coaches looked at him and said ‘Bambi on ice, that’s what he reminds me of!’

They've all got such different body shapes and a lot seem to do all of their growing up before filling out. My DS is much more my shape. My husband is proportionately longer in the back so whilst he's 6'4" and I'm 5'10" we both have the same hip height.
