This is the plan. I am overwhelmed and overrun with lovely kitchen and dining items. Beautiful plates, mugs, bowls etc.
Love them all but going into my dotage the wish is to slim down belongings that no one is going to want and not leave the utter overstuffed cupboards that my mum did in her death.
Started three days ago and my plan is as one sells to add another.
Painting, mugs and jug gone already.
Anyone want to join me?
Today is a Pip trinket dish.

Can I join? I sold some clothes that didn't fit and made a decent amount. I then added a book earlier and it sold within 5 minutes! Couldn't believe it (I didn't think it would sell!)

It’s such a buzz isn’t it?

"when someone favourites it then send an offer for a 10-20% off."

Please don't do this. I was speaking to a few friends the other day about vinted and we all agreed this pisses us off no end.

If we wanted a 10-20% discount we would put an offer in. We are usually either making a short list, considering it or tracking the item because we have something similar to sell.

If you reduce an item all the people that are following it will get a notification of the price drop. Do not pounce on them with offers as soon as they watch it - it's goddam annoying.

It works. It gets it sold. No offence but I am here for cleaning out my house not curating a personal list for your shopping.

AnonAnonmystery · 30/03/2026 22:47

I just uploaded something!
I only send offers when I want things rid quickly and it does work though I find it annoying lol when someone makes me an offer if I like something 😅😅😅

The adult sizing thing is soooo annoying. No woman I know is across two sizes, you’re one or the other (even if you’re different on top and bottom). Now, if you have the patience, you have to trawl through at least double the stock, plus stuff that has been incorrectly labelled since they changed it. I’ve also stopped buying adult clothes, but look occasionally and really appreciate people who put the size in the title of their listing.

I an a different size depending on the brand but the new sizing bands drive me nuts. Instead of searching two sizes I now have to trawl 4 and that’s before all the strange sellers who label incorrectly…

GrimDamnFanjo · 31/03/2026 18:04

I’ve just made one small sale. That’s £34.50 this month. Which I’ve already spent on two as new bags from under the radar brands…

cherrymauve · 01/04/2026 09:36

The homeware items I wanted to sell to downsize my belongings have nearly all gone. Sent 14 parcels on Monday!
Whatever doesn’t sell now will either go back in a cupboard or to the charity store.
Feel relieved that everything is sparser.
As I said before I’m in my mid 60’s now and am trying to follow the Swedish Death Cleansing…not as morbid as it sounds.

Have sold a few bits in the last few weeks. Have cleared lots to the charity shop too. I love how its like "free" money to treat myself😁

AnonAnonmystery · 08/04/2026 21:47

I needed to share this with someone! I just sold something on Vinted and the buyer is in the USA! It’s mad! This is the reason they messed up all the sizing, so people could buy from abroad!

Empress13 · 09/04/2026 00:00

Sold 2 pairs trousers and a purse today. Agree about de cluttering who wants to deal with all your shit when you die it’s not fair on that person.

chipsticksmammy · 09/04/2026 09:16

Goodness me. I’ve listed 4 things this morning and they have all sold as I listed them.

Well known brands, decent fabrics and I priced everything under £10. Some people are getting some bargains but it no longer fits me so it needs to go.

Do I post more today or leave it for tomorrow?

I’m going to be the annoying lady at the in-post locker later.

IncessantNameChanger · 09/04/2026 09:45

I'm going to register everything I already have on Vinted. Then make sure everything I want out is listed and eventually donated buy the end of this month. Dd has outgrown lots of clothes and shoes as having a long overdue growth spurt.

She is moving up to secondary in September and is my youngest of four so I really do need to get rid of the toys. End of a era but the toys aren't played with any more..

chipsticksmammy · 09/04/2026 10:09

Make that 5 things sold 😂

Do books sell?

I’m interested in what sells in the way of household stuff, our kitchen is packed.

AnonAnonmystery · 09/04/2026 10:10

@chipsticksmammy I would post more! It’s sunny outside and people will be looking for spring additions to their wardrobe!

It’s linen dress upload day isn’t it 😂

AnonAnonmystery · 09/04/2026 10:25

@chipsticksmammy regarding books yes they sell. I bundle them up by author or theme ie Peppa pig books. I’ve sold Turkish tea cups and cushion covers both used but very good condition.

chipsticksmammy · 09/04/2026 11:02

@AnonAnonmystery Perfect, thank you. I will get uploading the books as WeBuyBooks only offer 20p per book.

@AnonAnonmystery Perfect, thank you. I will get uploading the books as WeBuyBooks only offer 20p per book.

The World of Books app is great, easy to scan books in by the barcode, averages about 50p per book (some more unusual are worth more). WoB offer free postage and collection. They paid for all books, no returns from them.

I figured selling a full box to them (£24.50 worth) in one go was better than the odd book at a £1 with loads left over. Selling books individually also takes time and more effort.

Really pleased with the process.

cherrymauve · 09/04/2026 11:20

I put 4 items on yesterday and all sold within minutes 😄

I have had that too. I am glad my items sold but I don't know why I decided to wrap all of them at once 🤣

Thechateau · 09/04/2026 19:32

Just got back into selling. Sold two things straightaway, three others have hardly any views or watchers. Have more to list tomorrow morning

chipsticksmammy · 09/04/2026 19:45

Blimey! Let’s just say I’ve had a record breaking day.

After every sale I listed something else. I’ve sold loads of clothes and books. I thought this would take me days.

Vinted are having issues with labels which is what’s stopping me heading to the lockers tonight.

I have more things to list tomorrow, thank you for all the help.

Thechateau · 10/04/2026 07:26

So two of my items sold straight away and the other two have had very few views and no watchers. I'll leave them up for a while yet, but is it likely to be the price do you think and would it be worth taking down and re-listing? Remembering what someone said upthread about things selling straight away or not at all

IncessantNameChanger · 10/04/2026 07:33

I normally find that things sell on the day you list them. If you get few views or watches then it likely won't sell.

I'm selling dd trainers and footwear is hard to shift. Zero favorites on some Nikes for £3 that re uploaded yesterday so I can guarantee they won't sell

Thechateau · 10/04/2026 07:59

Thanks, that's what I thought.

Not sure I agree with that.

If something sells for the asking price same day as listed it's probably because you have underpriced it.

Typically I research my prices and items will sell within a week.
