What do you feel is worth spending extra on?

I've got a bit obsessed with saving money, and as a result I'm constantly buying everything on the cheap. However, I sometimes wonder if I spent a bit more on certain things I'd benefit in some way.

For example, perhaps I'd properly hide my dark circles rather than sort of hide them, with a more expensive and better quality concealer.

Maybe if I bought a really decent brand new SUV, rather than stick with my older trusty Volvo which I own outright, I may worry less about whether it'll pass the MOT this year. Maybe it's a worthy investment.

Just a couple of examples.

What do you feel is worth spending a bit extra on, and what's NOT worth it?

Toilet roll.

Our plumber advised us to buy cheap loo roll. He is constantly getting called out for blockages caused by thick wads of thick quilted luxury scented stuff that don’t disintegrate easily 😆

@Halfwaythere26 I've accidently found the best kitchen roll is sainsbury recycled one . Small pieces and works brilliantly

I have thick hair too and a Parlux hairdryer has cut the drying time in half and is as good as new eight years after buying it

Foil.
Wine.

Organic meat.

My Dry robe. If I ever have to replace it I'll buy the same one. I know you can get other brands more cheaply, but I swim all year round on a windy beach and it's worth it's weight in gold.

Chopped tomatoes

Vine tomatoes, eggs, meat, flights at a convenient time and airport, heating.

@CanterThroughChaos oh do you think? I always buy the cheap ones and wonder who buys the branded. I assumed they’d all just taste the same. Intrigued to try now.

Agree with all of those.

I always used to buy the basic ones but I’m also converted to Mutti. I bulk buy when they’re on offer. I’ve given up alcohol recently so feel justified splashing out on tomatoes.

I’m adding to my online shop today!
