I agree that Dubya (and the other living ex-POTUS) could and should be speaking out much louder AND in much franker terms. I understand the tradition they are holding to but like all traditions sometimes they have to be thrown out for a greater purpose. And if they think that Scrotus is going to respect that tradition when at last he is gone (O blessed day!), they've all got another think coming!!

Dubya made it clear at the end of his tenure that he was retiring from politics 'for good'. He had the right to determine his own future but you'd think he'd realize that he has a voice he could use to speak the truth. To mis-quote Spock "The needs of the many outweigh the wants of the one".

I think he did give office space to Rainbow PUSH for a while, in his New York property; I do know that once Trump started to get involved in politics Jesse Jackson made it very clear that he had no further time for Trump, so any "we were always buddies" guff is just that, guff.

I saw the headline about the Trump turnaround on Diego Garcia and didn't bother to waste my time reading the article, as he has probably forgotten that he had agreed to it a few days ago, (after not agreeing, but had previously agreed).

Or the staffer who agreed with the deal is on leave, and the staffer who doesn't is now on duty. Only the child with the 360º head in The Exorcist can keep up with the about turns.
