For me it’s:

people who think that Michael Jackson isn’t a pedophile.

people who say things like “Londanistan” “Bradfordistan”

People who say “If the Holocaust is real, why do the tattoo numbers only go up to 5 digits”

And people who wear those annoying black and white scarves like some badge of right-on ness but couldn't possibly tell you why

Newcastle United fans ....away the lads...

Catchycatchytune · 05/02/2026 18:53

People who can’t say th.

Bluenose1966 · 05/02/2026 18:54

Agree with most of the prior comments.
MAGA Trump supporters - when you hear them talk it really is a cult.
Reform / Farage / Tommy Robinson/ Andrew Tate supporters.
Those who say GB news and Right Wing Press are independent and more trustworthy than BBC when they are owned by multi millionaires with obvious right wing agendas
Those who say Brexit was a success
Dog owners who don’t pick up dog muck.
Those who listen to music / YT on their phones without using earphones in public places.
Those who talk very loudly, I assume to impress those around!!!
On holiday those that leave towels on sunbeds and disappear for hours.
Very cathartic doing this😂

People who write ‘we was’ instead of ‘we were’.

Who done that?

People who can’t say th.

That's parenting though, not necessarily intelligence? If it wasn't picked up in early childhood it's much harder to correct.

Happyjoe · 05/02/2026 18:56

BetteDavisChin · 05/02/2026 16:57

People who say
"plants have feelings so vegans shouldn't eat them either cos it's cruel"

My brother took delight in telling me lettuces scream when plucked/harvested!
I am a vegetarian.

GingerBeverage · 05/02/2026 18:58

Two people without helmets on a single hire scooter going the wrong way down a cycle path.
Every time I see it, I think, ‘Idiots!’ 😁

People who drink/phone and drive
Leery men
Not picking up dog shit
Not using sun cream
Racists

Love Island fans

Mumsnet is FULL of exists and stbexist

FMLGFastMovingLuxuryGoods · 05/02/2026 18:59

My mum once swore blind that the factor on a suncream bottle referred to how often you have to apply it. So factor 30 every half hour etc.

When I pointed out that’s bollocks and people who use factor 2 would actually be way behind because it takes longer than 2 minutes to cream up your whole body (think how sore your arms would be after a day of non stop sun creaming) she said she saw it on Phil and Fern so it must be true 😂

GhettoSnoopystar · 05/02/2026 18:59

People who jump on whatever the latest bandwagon on social media is, like the posts saying, ‘when X happens, make sure you say yes.’

People that think that anybody that has died in the last five years is as a result of having a Covid vaccination.

People that use the laughing emoji reaction on any political post.

People that think that ‘they’ve done their own research.’

JLou08 · 05/02/2026 18:59

People who call anyone who doesn't believe the same as them are conspiracy theorists or, on the other side, call others 'sheeple'. Stop flinging cliche terms around and just take on board each other's views. You may find that on a lof of subjects the truth is somewhere in the middle.

People who are/have been dependant on the state supporting right wing political parties.

Just those 3 things make you think someone is an idiot?

So by my definition you are also an idiot.

A narrow way of thinking and incapable or critical thought or adding more context when they start a discussion.

Oh and
Parents who say ‘I was rubbish at maths at school but it doesn’t matter, nobody needs it’ to their kids and especially to their daughters.

As a maths tutor I second this. I currently have one student whose parents are divorced and the mum is really on it with her education and the dad just fills her head with crap about how maths is useless. She tells me “dad says I’ll never use this in real life” and I have to stop myself saying “your dad is a loser who couldn’t find his arse with a map”. Instead I go with “well, regardless of if you use it in real life you need it to pass your exams and get into college so let’s just get on with it shall we”.

My mother believed that as well as negative and positive rhesus factor in blood, there was a third factor in between. I argued with her but my older sister joined in and they both called me stupid.

I have a narrow way of thinking because I think those types of people are idiots Confused…o….k

More than 3 things of course but nobody likes an overly long OP

I have another one - people who have usernames inspired by Motherland. Oh, wait Wink

Conspiracy theorists

Transphobia

I have a few friends who home educate and are very vocal about it on social media. They can just about form a sentence. I despair for their poor children being denied a decent education by parents who can’t even use punctuation.

You think women who wish to have access to female-only spaces are idiots?

BowLeeBee · 05/02/2026 19:08

CurlyhairedAssassin · 05/02/2026 18:43

You seem very concerned about how others look.

only when it looks dumb

Bertiebiscuit · 05/02/2026 19:08

I can't help but judge women who have obviously spent good money on getting huge "duck lips", i imagine they have had something injected into them, it's beyond weird, especially as they tend to also be very orange, with finger nails like decorated talons. I find it hard not to stare at them and wonder how dumb they are - don't they have mirrors?

Gardenalia · 05/02/2026 19:09

People who smoke, have tattoos/piercings and/or walk down the street glued to their phone screen.

So…most people.

I have to say, I find smokers are few and far between. I walked past a road worker having a fag break yesterday and realised I couldn’t remember the last time I got nostrils full of someone else’s fag!

You don't understand irony either. Imbecile.

Honestly your OP is weird. Ive never heard anyone say any of those things.

Is it rage bait?

Thedevilhasfinallycaughtupwithhim · 05/02/2026 19:11

For me it’s people who believe their political party is 100% right about everything and the opposition are 100% wrong about everything. People who can’t acknowledge the “wrong side” may have a point or have done something positive, ever.

xOlive · 05/02/2026 19:11

OldieButBaddie · 05/02/2026 17:06

Anti vaxxers

People who go on and on on NextDoor about things like the 20mph speed limit, the ULEZ, Londistan etc on every post (eg my cat is missing - probably been stabbed to death by Sadiq Kahn (sic))

Racists

Misogynists

Anyone with a personalised number plate

Anyone with an SUV in London or other big city

Edited

Why the SUV in a big city?
I live in a small town and I’ve only been to London twice and hated it 😂
