I’ve been looking and applying since September. I had one job offer but the conditions were not great so I declined it. I’m really struggling now, applications take so long and I’m not being shortlisted, I used to get shortlisted for pretty much everything I applied for!
anyone else also losing the will to live?

Just keep on applying and looking. You’ll find something eventually.

Ive got an interview for a GP receptionist on Monday.
Ive done plenty of prep, But Im concerned my nerves will get the better of me on the day.
i really don’t interview well so Im worried about that.

I've applied for two jobs yesterday
First time in 30 years
Absolutely terrifying
Got two interviews
First one is Monday
Just spent 4 hours preparing answers to the questions they told me I would be asked
Have literally 10 pages ,front and back of notes
Never going to remember all that
I feel like the world has moved on without me
And I'm overwhelmed after everything I've had to read about the role ,I don't even think I want a job now

Good luck to you both! I'm awaiting the result of a second interview I had last week. Don't let nerves get the better of you, remember you're there to interview them just as much as they are there to interview you!

do they differ much from the first?

That's brilliant, well done! I think the second interview is usually more in depth about the role and how you meet the specific criteria etc.

Well done. In my experience second interviews are you meeting bosses and seeing how you fit in with their work, your role with them. And if you get on with them.
