I’ll use apple in a tin for the first time !! Probably been done to death but what other short cut did you take and got a good result with ??

Very nice apples from Waitrose in a tin, no sugar or nasties. Just apples.

Asda used to do frozen apple slices ready peeled. They were really good.

I pad out the fruit with finely chopped (not shredded/processed) carrots. If you give them five minutes or so in the microwave with apple juice or neat squash, they mimic fruit nicely . Add some chopped apricots, which look almost the same, and act as decoys. Added fibre and an economy - win-win.

If you lived near me I would have gladly given you the apples. I have a small tree, it produces enough fruit to last over 12 months in three households. Every friggin October is spent peeling, chopping and stewing apples then freezing them in cubes and tubs for crumble, pies, apple sauce. I can’t give the buggers away.

I don’t blame you for not wanting peel them.

I use Sainsbury’s large jars apple sauce and a teaspoon cinnamon.
