Just being nosey!
£152 weekly shop in Tesco
£129 DS’s main birthday present
£25 soft play
Was going to stock up on my skincare (been substituting with cheap stuff for a few months) this evening but feel like I might need to hold that off now.

About £80.00 at my local horse feed stockist on a sack of donkey feed and puppy toys for my new puppy, £40.00 with Amazon for collar and harness for the puppy, tomorrow will be around £150.00 for Microchip and vaccinations - maybe a little more. But today pales into insignificance with the amount I paid out on Friday for my eight week old Staffie puppy!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Worth every penny 💕

DH paid for the Morrisons shop today, £96 for 3 days dinners and fruit, loo roll and kitchen roll. Nothing major in it.
Now tomorrow I have a shit load to pay for, I listed it earlier as we are attempting to budget better and now I know where the money goes....

These spotty shits!!

💕💕looks like 2 dogs & a matching meerkat!

rainandshine38 · 02/02/2026 05:44

£12.90 - £6.70 on breakfast and coffee for 2 of us ( Wetherspoons) and £6.30 picking up a few food items. Going to be spending £1000 on the dogs operation today though 😩

Most days very little. Monthly train pass to work which I pay for at start of month. Take my lunch with me to work and eat it at my desk. Get a shopping delivery every Sunday and rarely need to top up as just 17yr old DD and I. Her lunch money top ups comes out automatically and if she wants to buy any clothes (she loves Vinted at moment) she buys it herself. Top up petrol once a month too. Saving for a house, hopefully buying it in next couple of months so didn’t eat out all of Jan, and same for Feb planned apart from a work trip. Love a zero spend day.

Geez, who’s doing your hair? John Frieda?

My highlights are £120
my hair cut is…. Gulp…. £140

Dreamlava · 02/02/2026 06:40

RosesAndHellebores · 01/02/2026 21:10

@HopeWithNotes £160 in London is reasonable for cut, colour, blowdry. I usually pay £140 to £180 dpending how many colours my hairdresser foils through. That really isn't a mega rate.

I’m in Kent and this is completely normal price for the nice salons

HopeWithNotes · 02/02/2026 07:01

In reply to hairdressers comments, there’s no judgement. You’ll probably judge me more because I literally had to cut my own hair recently 🤣 You tube tutorial, kitchen scissors and off I went. Needless to say money’s tight and I won’t bore you with the details. I’m quite clearly on the wrong thread so I’ll be off 😊

I could maybe send a clever meerkat out to earn a few coins 😂

wow - you win I think!

DO oyu mind me asking aobut your sofa? what did you get? I may need a nw one soon if I have to separate from my husabnd.

Did it take oyu long ot decide - my husband would never let me buy anything without researching for about a year

Omg we spent months dithering about it 😂 Our current one is 20 years old so doesn't owe us anything but we need something a bit less huge and comfy and a bit more supportive these days,we also got 2 chairs and a footstool so not a bad price really.

I really wanted wanted a very neutral beige /cream one but dh reminded me we aren't very careful with spills and we have an outdoor cat who comes in with muddy paws so we got a darker one 😂

I would suggest going with what you absolutely love in celebration of your new freedom ❤️

Daftypants · 02/02/2026 09:56

On 31/1 I spent £0 .
1/2 spent about £20 on coffees and sandwiches for 2 of us in a cafe then £2 in the little Sainsburys on the way home .

did If help??

Younger student loved them, teenage boy wasn’t too impressed but he ended up doing really well and I think it was down to my wonderful pens

Paperinthewashingmachine · 02/02/2026 11:09

£0 Sunday
£83 on a very boring top up shop from Tesco all thought I did get a dine in for 2 for £15 in with that as it's hubby's bday tomorrow

Sadworld23 · 02/02/2026 11:35

£46! In B&M including £14.99 on some very uninspiring number blocks, I misread the label thinking £4.99 was expensive but worth it as my little one is a bit number glazed and he liked these.

But £14.99! , honestly not a good buy.
More fool me.

OneBlueFinch · 02/02/2026 11:39

£2.50 on parking
£37.50 on my favourite bath oil (an indulgence I know but it was 20% off in JL!)
I’ve returned two items for refund as well

TheLovelinessOfDemons · 02/02/2026 12:18

NoYourNameChanged · 02/02/2026 14:29

Yep I pay just over £200 for a cut and full head tint (Manchester).

Starlight1979 · 02/02/2026 14:34

JanuaryJasmine · 02/02/2026 05:21

Where?

that seems extortionate.

That's pretty standard near us.

About £8 for 125ml, £10 for 175ml and £12-£13 for 250ml.

TwoKidsNoClue · 02/02/2026 14:49

£0 today

Tonissister · 02/02/2026 15:24

£733 on insurance and paying for white goods that had broken down and needed replacing immediately. 😥

Bushwoolie · 02/02/2026 15:49

£159 on the weekly shop.
£20 on a small petrol top up.

JustauseraskinganotheruserWTF · 02/02/2026 16:13

£15 steak but this will be enough for four portions.
£3.25 a cake
£30 baby vitamins, knot spray nappies etc
£14 birthday gift for sister.
£2 on some bargain prep lunch boxes I found in Morrisons.
Spendy day without even trying!

Needmoresleep · 02/02/2026 17:12

£804.00 on plumber and electrician. But then I am a landlord.

Nothing on myself. Scarey amounts go in and out of my bank account, to the extent that I keep holding off shopping till I am sure everything balances. Its been that way for a while, and likely to get worse.
