£129 DS’s main birthday present
£25 soft play
Was going to stock up on my skincare (been substituting with cheap stuff for a few months) this evening but feel like I might need to hold that off now.

£2 and that was milk for work

gototogo · 09/02/2026 17:38

@JudgingJudy

exercise really can be close to free eg we walk, run (well jog really), have bikes, swim and all are free activities assuming you own a bike, a pair of walking boots, a pair of trainers and a swimsuit. I suppose we do drive to the marine lake but in theory you can cycle there and we did during the quiet roads of the pandemic. We take a flask of coffee for after swimming

JustauseraskinganotheruserWTF · 09/02/2026 19:29

£11 on a Starbucks
£2.50 on boots version of Calpol
£4.48 on four hair brushes that were in the bargain bin fed up of forgetting my daughter's hairbrush on activities/etc so we've now got one for each activity bag and car.

WhineAndWine1 · 09/02/2026 20:09

£600 on new doors 🫣

We do all the free stuff walking, cycling etc etc
Lucky you to have somewhere to swim for free
Too much pollution near us
We could venture towards Whitstable as the water quality is monitored there but that’s a half hour drive. Plus the sea is freezing 🥶

Sons are lifeguards at the local pool during the holidays though so we get free sessions then

Delphigirl · 09/02/2026 23:01

CharlotteStreetW1 · 12/02/2026 20:58

Jount account - £10.95 on yoghurt and bread

Sole account - £2.10 bus fare home

Dull.

Littletreefrog · 12/02/2026 21:12

£19 on sand bags. We are fighting a losing battle against the rain.

NorWouldTilly · 12/02/2026 21:26

£24 return cab + waiting time, to pick up my newly shortened dress. (I usually walk in at least one direction to the alterations place, but the rain made me lazy.)

Dress now less enormous, so people will be able to admire my shiny boots.
