Just being nosey!
£152 weekly shop in Tesco
£129 DS’s main birthday present
£25 soft play
Was going to stock up on my skincare (been substituting with cheap stuff for a few months) this evening but feel like I might need to hold that off now.

I don't think I've spent anything. Yay. I nearly bought a jigsaw from Amazon but didn't.

KTMeetsTheRsUptown · 01/02/2026 22:26

£189 on custom Nikes for DS birthday next month.

Booboobagins · 01/02/2026 22:47

£95 at Lidl, £43 a Cisco (petrol), £30 breakfast for myself and my friend who copped for our taxi fare last night - we are both visiting friends so out of town over night. Also sent £9.50 to my window cleaners.

MooFroo · 02/02/2026 00:25

I wouldn’t buy that one. The supplier reviews are really bad I’m afraid

mondaytosunday · 02/02/2026 01:23

Whoa I didn’t spend anything on the 31st! But I paid my taxes on the 30th, and today had a £120 Tesco shop and paid just over £300 to my agents for fees relating to a change in tenants…

£30 at about 3.am on conditioner. (Couldn’t sleep.)
£9 on crisps and Fever Tree tonic in the Co-op on the way back from the dentist. This always happens. I can resist those things when doing my Ocado order, but not if I pass an actual shop.
£250 on a dress in the sales. Saw it last year and thought it would really suit one of my family. Could be disastrous; they may hate it. But at least I’ll have satisfied my curiosity.

wow thats generous

LucyLoo1972 · 02/02/2026 01:28

Around £25 for a Toby Carvery as my husband was away and im not cooking a roast for one

but this thread is making me realise that I think I was/am in a financially controlling marriage which broke me. sadly it gave me a psychotic break which means I lost my elite career id worked so hard for

£20 Amazon
£15 evening class
£4,500 new sofa

SPQRomanus · 02/02/2026 01:35

£50 on petrol, £2.40 on a pack of Parma ham and £125 online for a pair of ankle boots.

Yesterday spent £4 on a newspaper. Although I won't need to buy anything till the end of the week hundreds will go out of my account on council tax, fuel, water, broadband bills etc.

DrPrunesqualer · 02/02/2026 03:08

I wish there was a thread like this when mumsnet started.
It would be interesting to see changes in spending habits

Even more interesting if we were looking at decades ago

ps I spent £0 on Sunday

We dont
We both work from home or are on site and take sandwiches
Most months we do a couple of food shops and that’s it
Our extra curricular stuff eg exercising, art, reading etc cost nothing
So most weeks we spend nothing apart from the usual bills

This. Fabulous idea- enjoyed it a lot. But IMHO the production needs work-it was a bit….raw…I wish I’d gone later in the run.

Looks interesting!!
