£129 DS’s main birthday present
£25 soft play
Was going to stock up on my skincare (been substituting with cheap stuff for a few months) this evening but feel like I might need to hold that off now.

Happyjoe · 01/02/2026 18:39

£6.50 at the bakery, bread for freezer and a cheeky cake for OH and me.
£7ish (I didn't pay much attention) for 2 takeaway coffees. £1 parking at the shopping centre, only went out today to pick up new glasses.

Anotherdayinparentdise · 01/02/2026 18:45

£94 on passport renewal- fly in May and been putting off the renewal, so thought I’d better get my backside into gear.

£67 weekly aldi shop (1 adult 3 kids) - the only thing I should need to pop to the shops for is bread and milk this week.

planning a no spend week (except bread and milk) as not much left in the bank and still another 24 days until payday haha

Lincslady53 · 01/02/2026 18:55

Spent nothing today. But just put the car on charge, so that will be about a fiver. Been decorating DDs new house, we stupidly tried to stop her spending on having a new kitchen fitted before she gets used to higher costs of the house, and the cost of any unexpected problems that may arise, so spent the day painting 15 cupboard doors and two bedroom ceilings. Both DH and I are absolutely knackered, another day of it tomorrow, then a day off! But it's for a funeral, so not so tiring, but will be a tough day, the first of our peer group to pass. Still, back to the decorating on Weds.

Sharptonguedwoman · 01/02/2026 18:57

£0!

I was going to put £0 but the heating has been on and lights too. So, there’s a cost.

ByWarmShark · 01/02/2026 19:02

£7 for day out (attraction is free but pay for parking) and £15.15 for coffee/drinks and cake for me and the kids.

Ragamuffin8 · 01/02/2026 19:04

£32.50

A new cashmere jumper, book and lipstick. Not great for my low buy…

Plus some chocolate.

BambinaCucina · 01/02/2026 19:12

I was going to say nothing, but then I remembered our wedding pizza payment came out - £47.35.

We're doing our food shop tomorrow! But don't actually need a lot this week.

Trainup · 01/02/2026 19:13

£182 weekly shop (stocked up on a lot of things we were low on!)
£60 petrol
£62 childcare

JustMeAndTheFish · 01/02/2026 19:14

Zilch! But I’ve had a really dodgy stomach and haven’t moved from the sofa.
However, in the last week I’ve paid an eye watering amount to HMRC Shipley and bought a spur of the moment trip to India (new year sale so no solo supplement and no regional airport supplement so couldn’t not really).

Lemonyyy · 01/02/2026 19:23

£157 on weekly shop (😫)

think that’s it, mostly been home today doing a lot of baking to try and mitigate said £157 food shop!

Motnight · 01/02/2026 19:26

£8 coffees DH and I
£10 drinks in pub DH and I

Moonbark · 01/02/2026 19:38

£17 on farm/soft play day out for the 4 of us. Took a packed lunch and managed to avoid any cafe extras for the first time in a long time. We’re saving for a sunny holiday this year.

ChocolateCinderToffee · 01/02/2026 19:47

About £35: sunflower seeds and mealworms for my bird feeders, a tub of creme fraiche, a stick of fancy nougat, some chicken breasts and some chia seeds for me.
