A pro Trump thread to balance the 154 anti Trump threads!

Carpediemtoday · 29/01/2026 17:46

Thought I’d be brave and start a pro-Trump thread for a change, after all, there are so many anti-Trump ones , we need some balance!
I even tried commenting on an anti-Trump thread today… and wow, just kept being told to go away, my comments were not well received. Honestly, I feel honoured to feel as if I have been officially deported, what an achievement!😂

Haha love Trump. He’s really funny actually. Glad I got to vote for him twice and looking forward to voting for Vance ✌️

You're slacking Ringo, we're seven pages in. Trump would be disappointed in you.

ChurchWindows · 29/01/2026 20:01

@BoyHowdy100% predicted this post three minutes before it happened. Correct right down to the CAPITAL LETTERS.

MAGA hat off to you @BoyHowdy

OMG! I forgot to include the mention of other favourite dictators though. I'll adjust my notes.

dottiehens · 29/01/2026 20:55

Why OP? Wherever is the case he was democratically elected and people have to suck it up until the next elections. So far the opposition. If the Mayor of NY is to measure will guarantee Republicans get re-elected.

thecatdidit · 29/01/2026 20:56

Carpediemtoday · 29/01/2026 18:01

Well unlike a lot of politicians he is actually achieving a lot of what he said he promised he would do during his campaign.

He has done more in his first year than Biden achieved in 4 years. Anybody remember what he achieved after 4 years?

Please tell me what he's achieved in terms of the US economy.
Is fascism the way to go?

Well I will go back to the other thread and cause havoc there then!

OP edited their post to remove the above "threat" to the other thread.
How brave of you to think that you caused havoc there. You were a momentary, and laughable distraction from the horrors of sharing and discussing what the Trump administration is doing to the American people and the world.

We do enjoy a good laugh when posters do their analytical 'research' in the Daily fail.😂

I think technically their research is done while sitting on the toilet.

I am filling up my bingo card...... tangerine mentioned.
So his colour is so important to you that you have to mention it. 🙄What would you say if I kept mentioning someone's colour?

You've got a cheek.

He repeatedly insults anyone and everyone. Personal insults, racist insults, comments about appearances, calls a reporter Piggy, he picks on people and makes nasty comments. But that's OK is it? Go and look it up if that habit of his escaped you.

Buzzlightfear · 29/01/2026 21:16

@Carpediemtoday I'd actually be interested to hear what positives you have to say about Trump. Actual specifics, because I'd actually really like to feel more positive towards what seems like an absolute shit show to me.

From what I can see all you've said so far is that ' he's done that he said he would' (apologies if I've missed a subsequent post) but I'd really like specifics as to what that means.

Dymaxion · 29/01/2026 21:18

At the end of the day its what the voters in America think of him, how is he doing in the polls ? do they feel they are better off this time around ?

Thesnailonthewhale · 29/01/2026 21:19

...still waiting for you to tell us the great things he's done...

FrayaMorstater · 29/01/2026 21:22

Sex-based rights. Is the only positive I can think of

This is the most terrifying thing I've read today. I googled and it seems real. Please someone tell me if I'm wrong, but this means that there is a bill which seeks to patholigise being outraged by Trump's actions. To what purpose? Could it be possible that if successful, people who protested against Trump's actions or spoke out against publicly him could be labelled with a mental health disorder and then what... Treat them somehow? Sedate them? Section them?

It's just performative ass kissing for their supreme orange leader. It's the congressional equivalent of the pick me dance.

🤮

You do know what he said about Trump before he got a sniff of power? He's a 🤡
This is what he said
"I go back and forth between thinking Trump is a cynical asshole like Nixon who wouldn't be that bad (and might even prove useful) or that he's America's Hitler,"

“The more white people feel like voting for Trump, the more Black people will suffer. I really believe that.”

He also called Trump “a disaster” and “a bad man”. Later, after Trump beat Hillary Clinton, Vance told Nelson he was “deeply pessimistic”.

You and @Carpediemtoday have some interesting commonalities in syntax

what is going on in USA
(Taken from their trolling on the other thread)

Some of the things people come out with. Have you read what you have written. You would seriously prefer Putin. OMG!

Yes

I’m waiting to hear all the positive things about Donald Trump. How long do I need to wait .😀

More years than it's possible for a human to live 👍😁

I’m still waiting on the wall (paid for by Mexico). He has had 5 years in total now…tick tock.

SharpLemonLurker · 29/01/2026 21:44

Petrine · 29/01/2026 18:31

I think there are a lot of people here (and obviously the many thousands of US citizens who voted for him) that admire Donald Trump… I’m one of them.

That said, I can’t be bothered to argue with the anti-Trump brigade here.

Get help

CowTown · 29/01/2026 21:53

I’m still waiting for his promises of:

  • free childcare
  • free IVF
  • Ukrainian war ended in under 24 hours
  • Releasing JFK files
  • Releasing Epstein files
  • Imprisonment of Biden
  • No taxes on Social Security pension payments
  • Annexation of Canada
  • Annexation of Panama Canal
  • man on Mars
  • turning Gaza into a beach resort
  • 2000 mile border wall
  • imprisonment of Hilary Clinton
  • Muslim ban
  • Repeal & Replace Obamacare
  • clean coal
He’s had 5+ years; most presidents get only 4.

1 star. Poor effort.

OlPennyRadford · 29/01/2026 22:11

I would rather have him than Starmer!

Crikeyalmighty · 29/01/2026 22:11

@Carpediemtoday may I suggest that Biden was dealing with the aftermath of Covid, Ukraine and global price escalation - he also isn’t the kind to be out there bigly bigging himself up every 2 seconds bragging about every little thing done. I will tell you what he did manage though

relative stability and actually more deporting in legal unreported ways than Trump

things Biden failed to achieve though

turning US into a laughing stock
taking over nations who haven’t attacked them
threatning to take over and control nations that belong to other nations

laundering billions of dollars into his and his families back pockets and giving said family huge contracts with their businesses

shooting dead US citizens on the street who were simply protesting

calling everyone who doesn’t support him a loser including people who had just been killed in tragic circumstances

mocking disabled people

the list is endless!!!!

Mjjj · 29/01/2026 22:14

Clafoutie · 29/01/2026 19:47

You liked him and defended him in his first term, in spite of the way he ‘joked’ about sexually assaulting women? 🤔

It was crass, rude and disgusting. I thought policy wise trump term 1 wasn't all that bad until COVID. The economy was thriving, he was protecting the border and I don't think the foreign policy was all that bad. I remember 6 years ago the air strike that got a few really bad guys.

But this term is completely unhinged and I'm terrified of the man.

emmetgirl · 29/01/2026 22:14

Is that you Melania?

PevenseygirlQQ · 29/01/2026 22:14

Sadly not

He is doing a very good job of turning the US into the Republic of Gilead.

Under his eye.

Praise be
