A pro Trump thread to balance the 154 anti Trump threads!

Carpediemtoday · 29/01/2026 17:46

Thought I’d be brave and start a pro-Trump thread for a change, after all, there are so many anti-Trump ones , we need some balance!
I even tried commenting on an anti-Trump thread today… and wow, just kept being told to go away, my comments were not well received. Honestly, I feel honoured to feel as if I have been officially deported, what an achievement!😂

Let's not forget that Trump ordered Raffensperger to find 11,780 votes

I remember thinking at the time how dumb Trump was. Because he needed 11,781 votes, to win by 1. 11780 would have been a draw :-)

I feel like you are missing the point. Personally, it is more that Trump has created a narrative that is so driven by lies and outrageous behaviour that anything is possible.

On balance, I don't truly believe he orchestrated this himself but there is definitely doubt that it was an assassination attempt on him. He is the one who has created an environment where people believe this might be a possibility.

I get your point that because Trump has created a narrative of lies (proven) and outrageous (and imo unacceptable for the Presidency) behaviour that has created the environment where people are inclined to believe dumbass conspiracy theories.

But this doesn't make the conspiracy theory that he staged the assassination attempt any less stupid.

And it's not an excuse for people to act stupid and post stupid conspiracy theories simply because Trump is a proven liar and an abhorrent individual. It might explain why they are acting stupid but they're still stupid

expatme · 04/02/2026 12:53

As I said, I don't believe he orchestrated the shooting, but what has he ever said or done that would make you believe this?

I mean, if you want to talk about a special level of stupidity...

But the idea that Trump would sign off on a staged shooting that killed one man and live changing injured two others in the midst of an election campaign needs a special level of stupidity to believe.

Have you read any of the accusations against trump in the trumpstein files?

As already suggested he has generated the belief for this level lunacy through his own actions and rhetoric. Look at who he surrounds himself with, (Steven Miller) look at ICE whom he has defended when murdering people. He sees everyone else as expendable as he is a true narcissist, devoid of sympathy or empathy. He has shown little to no respect for service men, dead or alive and indeed suggested his own relative should just be let die due to his special needs and effectively was costing too much.

If there is any truth to the baby at Lake Michigan (?) story that should tell you all you need to know about djt and the lengths he is.prepared to go to.

I love that the OP started this Pro Trump thread but failed to at any point come up with one positive thing about Trump.

Y'know, if you're not a Trump fan, as you keep asserting, there are a lot of more relevant and dangerous conspiracy theories out there you could spend your time slaying.

Jewish cabals (or 'globalists' as the conspiracists like to call them), the dangers of vaccines, particularly MRNA ones, fifteen minute cities... Why not devote your time to debunking the ones that could actually make a difference in the world? Or maybe, just maybe, you're a Trump fan after all?

Oh, and I'm still waiting to hear what, anywhere in the history of his time in public life, would make you believe this?

Yeah, I've read some of it. I take the more outlandish claims with a big grain of salt, although I have no trouble believing he's a sex pest, an assaulter, likely a rapist, and had no problem with the abuse of women and girls.

Isnt it great that the bs spouted by the hardened trump supporters is shot down by mnetters.

My concern is that if mumsnet is sold and bought by a US /Musk influenced type group free speech and push back will be shut down. See tiktok for reference shutting down any push back on trump, talk about epstein. Watch how the pro trump rhetoric will ramp up coming up to the elections.

DuncinToffee · 04/02/2026 15:42

CNN journalist Kaitlan Collins asked Trump about Epstein abuse victims, his answer was telling her to smile more in his presence.

I'd really like to know how Trump supporters would defend this. But they don't want to address anything that isn't immigrants.

Oh I'll happily debunk any other dumb conspiracy theories if there's a thread on them.

But what this thread demonstrates to me is that the topic of Trump has polarised views so much that the truth, reality or facts no longer matter.

If someone posts an anti or pro Trump claim no matter how outlandish or clearly bollocks and someone else comes along to explain with logic and evidence that it is a bollocks claim then you will immediately get attacked as either a progressive woke extreme left winger or a MAGA diehard.

Facts no longer matter, what matters is which camp you are in.

I watched that...for him its just move on...now my name has been redacted from the epstein files we can just forget about it!

Nothing about the victims getting any justice.
Kaitlyn Collins is good though, she just keeps on asking what the other pedo protecting sycophants wont.

That's just blatantly not true.

You are talking about an administration that has lied and manipulated every day since they lied about the size of the crowd for his first inauguration and Kellyanne Conway invented 'alternative facts' to the point where no one can believe a single word they say. He lies daily, the DOJ lies daily, the press secretary lies daily, the speaker of the house lies daily.

As I've said repeatedly, I don't subscribe to the shooting being staged theory, but you have no more factual evidence that it was not than the pp does that it was. The balance of reason might suggest that it's not, but that's not a fact. And if you can't understand that, you are as stupid as you keep telling pps that they are.

If you're so interested in truth and fact, why not take on the administration and their, No, you didn't see the video of a man being executed that you literally saw line?

Facts no longer matter, what matters is which camp you are in.

I'm sorry you don't seem able to get it, but facts do matter. That's why people are in the other camp.

Still waiting, by the way. Asking for, I think, the third time?

Tinytimmy123 · 04/02/2026 17:17

I dont believe every conspiracy theory about trump, but based on his life long WELL DOCUMENTED corrupt deceitful, abusive behaviour, narcissism, greed and cruelty it really wouldnt surprise me AT ALL if it were true.

Tinytimmy123 · 04/02/2026 17:23

He could always just release the trumpstein files...unredacted of course ...and then the conspiracy theories would pale into insignificance.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 04/02/2026 17:54

pointythings · 04/02/2026 13:06

Well.... the source for this is one of the MAGA faithful. The FBI is run by the MAGA faithful. This process has zero transparency. Trump lost 60 challenges showing no evidence of tampering. So if you believe this, it's because you want to believe it.

This. My first reaction when I heard about this raid was "And now they'll forge all sorts of batshit rubbish to support the lie that the election was stolen".

In general, election observers come from both parties; why did nobody from any party notice this at the time?

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 04/02/2026 17:59

And on Trump having conspired to get himself shot at so he would look good: no, I don't believe it for an instant. He is far too much of a coward for that. Also, he would certainly think "what if the sniper missed his aim and actually shot me in the head?", because even someone as thick as he has shown himself to be would surely notice that possibility.

What I can easily believe is that one or more of his batshit acolytes might have thought it a good idea and conspired to make it happen, on the basis that if it didn't succeed that would be good for Trump, and if it did then one of his acolytes might well win on a sympathy vote – and would be younger and more durable, and able to stand for two terms not just one.

FBI seized 2020 Fulton County ballots last week - Greg Dolezal Lt Governor of Georgia explains why:

https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1968783300706982
https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1425779932264115

Some of the details are shocking.

1,900 - 2,400 voters registered at a homeless shelter they don't have that many beds!
70 registered at another shelter that closed in 2017!

96 registered voters at a UPS store!

138 voters registered to vote at one address, a mailbox!

Lots of voters with a date of birth of 1800 or 1900 ..... which means they don;t have a date of birth
So many duplicates of same person living at the same address but with a slight variation in their name (Bob or Rob)

Not sure what to say really. Can't imagine this ever happening in the UK.😟

Do you have a source on this? That’s NOT Facebook? A legitimate, neutral source, eg, Associated Press or Reuters?

1dayatatime · 04/02/2026 19:15

"Oh, and I'm still waiting to hear what, anywhere in the history of his time in public life, would make you believe this?"

"But the idea that Trump would sign off on a staged shooting that killed one man and live changing injured two others in the midst of an election campaign needs a special level of stupidity to believe."

In answer to your question, Trump is not entirely stupid (although close).

As a PP stated signing off on a shooter to fire 8 shots in your direction risks getting shot yourself. Secondly trying to keep a staged assassination attempt like that under wraps would be incredibly difficult to do. You risk the shooter being captured alive or wounded and then squealing the whole story, you risk someone involved squealing etc etc.

And for what actual benefit- a two week uptick in polling numbers? The shooting didn't win Trump the election for him , its was Kamala Harris that did that.

Thats why it's a really dumb conspiracy theory.

1dayatatime · 04/02/2026 19:28

"As I've said repeatedly, I don't subscribe to the shooting being staged theory, but you have no more factual evidence that it was not than the pp does that it was. "

Yes there is factual evidence that a man attempted to assassinate Trump - firstly there is the video evidence and secondly there is the follow up investigation. What evidence is there that it was staged other than some crackpot conspiracy theory.

"Facts no longer matter, what matters is which camp you are in."

"I'm sorry you don't seem able to get it, but facts do matter. That's why people are in the other camp."

So you are saying that only anti Trump camp deals in facts and only the pro Trump deals in lies. And I think that is where we differ, I believe that because politics especially on Trump has become so polarised and echo chamber that both sides of camps deal in lies and deny facts.

Maybe this will help:

The latest conspiracy theory is that trump is in the epstein files.

Trumps conspiracy theory is that its all a ruse to discredit him.

The leftys conspiracy theory is that he is a pedophile and a big friend of epstein.

All he has to do is to release the files. No more conspiracy theories for either side ...just facts.

Are you still wanging on?

The polarization is that in one camp are Trump supporters. Who generally like the orange grifter because he normalises racism, misogyny and self serving spite.

And there’s everyone else

It harkens back to that adage of...if someone shows you who they are...believe them.

Senator Ted Lou (?) is speaking out and talking about the allegations in the files that trump raped and threatened to kill children.

Release the files.

So there are 6 million pages in the Epstein files - so far 3.5 million pages have been released after review and redactions. That leaves 2.5 million to go.

So it's not as though the Epstein files haven't been released at all.

Well, @1dayatatime, why don't you find a neutral, or as neutral as possible, fact checking source - there are some good ones out there. And see where the vast majority of the avalanche of lies are coming from. Hint: you won't because it will prove you're peddling bullshit. You have zero credibility.

So there are 6 million pages in the Epstein files - so far 3.5 million pages have been released after review and redactions. That leaves 2.5 million to go.
So it's not as though the Epstein files haven't been released at all.

Yes, although legally they were required to have released all of them. I wonder what they were so busy retracting that they missed redactions such as the victims' names, addresses and nude photos? Since Trump's name only appeared 1,000 times in the ones they did release, I shudder to imagine what they're hiding.

Still waiting (tapping fingers). I'm starting to think, like the rest of your assertions, you can't find anything to back it up so you'll just move on to the next line of garbage.

But the idea that Trump would sign off on a staged shooting that killed one man and live changing injured two others in the midst of an election campaign needs a special level of stupidity to believe.
