A pro Trump thread to balance the 154 anti Trump threads!

Carpediemtoday · 29/01/2026 17:46

Thought I’d be brave and start a pro-Trump thread for a change, after all, there are so many anti-Trump ones , we need some balance!
I even tried commenting on an anti-Trump thread today… and wow, just kept being told to go away, my comments were not well received. Honestly, I feel honoured to feel as if I have been officially deported, what an achievement!😂

I'm just waiting for @youreverybrave to share their sources with us so we can all be as enlightened and brave.

Can you comment on sources that influenced your analysis of:

Trump's part in killing two Trinidadian fishermen off the coast of Venezuela.
The legality of capturing and abducting Maduro and his wife.
Trump's ownership of the offshore Qatari bank account where the proceeds of selling Venezuelan oil are being deposited.
Using his position for his own/family's private enrichment - eg Trump phone, Trump credit card (linked to getting a US visa), TrumpRx a gov't online pharmacy.
Renaming the Kennedy Centre after himself.
Demolishing part of the WH and build a gold ballroom.
The restrictions on doing business in NY after the Trump Organisation was found guilty of fraud.
Giving Jared and Ivanka positions in the government.

That just for starters. I haven't even mentioned the EPSTEIN FILES.
TIA. <tinkly laugh>

What do you mean with 'getting their media from just one source"?

Well, obviously Trump is really really great. That is objectively true. So if you think otherwise, you must exclusively be reading woke lefty vegan tofu-eating type news media. And be a card carrying member of Antifa. And all that.

Simple, really. As simple as joining the MAGA cult.

youreverybrave · 31/01/2026 22:59

@logicisallI’d be really happy to have a honest discussion but you are not asking me the question in good faith.

However, I’ve always been fascinated by American politics and I read and cross check from many different sources, from CNN and Reuters to Al Jazeera and some more centre right wing publications like Wall St Journal and of course both sides of the UK media pile from the guardian to the Mail.

If your starting position is ‘orange man bad’ then it’s not possible to have a reasonable discussion. But then when has MN ever been about reasonable discussion - it’s tribalism at its worst.

It was a question in good faith and I would appreciate a genuine discussion rather than deflection. I'm keen to understand why people support Trump. I have a good friend who supports Trump...because she likes how disruptive he is. We've agreed not to discuss politics as it would derail our friendship as she is kind and thoughtful in many ways.

TooBigForMyBoots · 31/01/2026 23:43

There are lots of shades of grey and no one person can possibly be all the things the media tells you Trump is.

I'll readily admit that I'm black and white when it comes to serial sex offenders. Especially ones who who hang out with other sex offenders, rapists, sex traffickers and paedophiles.🤷‍♀️. I dont consider my stance on dangerous, violent predatory men to be tribal. Right thinking people across the political spectrum agree with me.

So you find you find this particular, violent sex offender and fraudster entertaining.🙄 Good for you @youreverybrave .👏👏👏

Oh god, the ‘disruptive’ argument. I’ve been able to separate different politics with friends in the past, but I just can’t with this one. It’s just beyond that for me now, what Trump does is just so egregious. This isn’t me judging you by the way, I’m just thinking out loud about how hard it is in this scenario.

I think a lot of us on here are trying reallt hard to work out how there could be any other view of Trump though. This isn’t somebody like Bush we’re talking about.

The judge that has just ruled that Liam Ramos should be released has not held back:

Extracts from Judge Fred Biery’s ruling:

“The case has its genesis in the ill-conceived and incompetently-implemented government pursuit of daily deportation quotas, apparently even if it requires traumatizing children,” wrote the furious judge in his order.

“Apparent also is the government's ignorance of an American historical document called the Declaration of Independence. Thirty-three-year-old Thomas Jefferson enumerated grievances against a would-be authoritarian king over our nascent nation. Among others were

  1. "He has sent hither Swarms of Officers to harass our People."
  2. "He has excited domestic Insurrection among us.”
  3. "For quartering large Bodies of Armed Troops among us."
  4. "He has kept among us, in Times of Peace, Standing Armies without the consent of our Legislatures."

"’We the people’ are hearing echos of that history.”

Continued:

“Civics lesson to the government!”

“Administrative warrants issued by the executive branch to itself do not pass probable cause muster. That is called the fox guarding the henhouse.”

“The Constitution requires an independent judicial officer. Accordingly, the Court finds that the Constitution of these United States trumps this administration's detention of petitioner Adrian Conejo Arias and his minor son.”

Ending his order by writing:

“with a judicial finger in the constitutional dike, it is so ORDERED.”

Does it mean moving Space command to Hunstville will attract hundreds of billions of investment from huge companies such such as the Eli Lilly and Company who is investing over $6 billion in a new, high-tech pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Huntsville. This was announced in late 2025 with construction beginning in 2026

How are they connected ?

AhBiscuits · 01/02/2026 06:36

This thread is so frustrating.

Trump has done loads of good things but I'm not prepared to name any of them. 😑

AhBiscuits · 01/02/2026 06:59

This image sums up thoughts on him pretty well. But he's also a paedophile.

A pro Trump thread to balance the 154 anti Trump threads!

Trump probably twisted their arm too, so plays to magats that he's in some way forcing big pharm to lower drug prices?

Has construction actually started, or will it end in a "Samsung" response where they monitor tariff activity and pace investment in US factory construction to suit?

This Whitehouse 365 wins in365 days is astounding. Here is another that jumped out at me as I scanned through it.

"186 Rejoined the Geneva Consensus Declaration, which promotes and strengthens opportunities for women and girls around the world, and protects the family as the fundamental unit of society."

Looks fantastic does it not ? Lets have a look at this convention.

Geneva-Consensus-Declaration-GCD-English-2024.pdf (theiwh.org)

"4. Emphasize that “in no case should abortion be promoted as a method of family planning”"

"5. Reaffirm that “the family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State”;13 that “motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance,”14 that “women play a critical role in the family”15 and women’s “contribution to the welfare of the family and to the development of society”;"

The Trump admin fails on this tho, as well as article 1 and 2, but meh.

"6. Recognize that “universal health coverage is fundamental for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals related ...."

I abbreviated for space, not cherry picking.

So yeah. It's just an anti abortion thing disguised as a women's rights declaration.

I think he’s hilarious. I can’t believe some of the things he does, says, gets away with. He’s a liability and I think he’s too old and losing it.

The thing is in the U.K. people go on about ‘boat people’ getting their houses and benefits, a large section of the population want them gone, but to do that you need something like ICE.
The reality of that is sickening and wrong, but he’s delivering campaign promises - it’s what America voted for. 🤷‍♀️

I am glad to see that people have heeded my warning and not read the page I posted earlier about the page I found on the Whitehouse website. Many of you will find it scary, but it lists 365 things Trump has achieved in his first year that 70 million American people voted for.

I have it open, and I have made a couple of posts about it above. Its near enough 365 lies, exaggerations and meh !

Lets pick another random one. I have done 2 above.

"194 Processed a record three million veterans’ disability claims at the VA over the past year."

Lets see if that can be factchecked:

VA Processes Record-Breaking Number of Disability Claims This Year, with 62% Approval Rate | Military.com

Quotes from the link ( and other sources say the same:

"The Department of Veterans Affairs says it has processed more disability claims this fiscal year than last, exceeding 2024's record-breaking amount by nearly 6,600"

"As of mid-August, VA claims adjudicators had processed 2,524,115 claims compared with 2,517,519 in fiscal 2024."

NOT 3 million as claimed. And an increase of.... 6600.

Goodness me.

It’s a White House website - none of these have actually been fact checked as to whether any of them are true.

Sunnyhappy · 01/02/2026 09:01

I know a lot of the claims on that Whitehouse page need to be checked out and are maybe just PR spin, but unfortunately I found one that is true! Really scary stuff......

Well unlike a lot of politicians he is actually achieving a lot of what he said he promised he would do during his campaign.

He has done more in his first year than Biden achieved in 4 years. Anybody remember what he achieved after 4 years?

Please name one substantial thing he has done except send prices up and farmers almost bankrupt and people on insulin who had a co-pay of $8 and now it's $462, sending the prices of eggs through the roof, and shoot dead American citizens minding their own business.
