why won't she stop bloody interrupting?
these poor women talking about their relationships and she's barging in every two seconds.

very annoying.

Agree way better but she can't pronounce infantile (wtf) and I lollled at purge your feelings

the guest sounds very very immature and really needed to bin him or not. Seemed obsessed with the OW in an unhealthy way

Imagine being so bitter and nasty that you anonymously make personal attacks about someone on the internet 🤣 she may do things that annoy you on a podcast that NOBODY FORCES YOU TO LISTEN TO, but there's no need to be a bully 🤷🏻‍♀️ it's giving jealousy

Wilsonthedog · 09/09/2026 07:22

Agree that the guest had obviously got with this guy so young that she didn't really know who she was without him. I found it interesting that, at one point, I think she said her family and friends weren't particularly supportive about her getting back with him (?), and they know him, have spent time with him. Well, I hope it works out for her. She just didn't seem very happy.

Oh gosh! This was infuriating. Cleo was basically playing an extended version of the’ pick me’ dance. She was unhealthily obsessed with the OW and seemed to lay everything at her door. I just think she’s set herself up for a life time of madness constantly checking his phone and where he is until he gets fed up and leaves having found someone else. I think it’s a salutary tale in having a baby at 16, having no life experience and clinging on for dear life to what you know despite it having a severe effect on your mental health.

trustedadult · 09/09/2026 19:12

@Wilsonthedog yes! The help she had with her eldest evaporated

@PerdreLeBleu yes. Everything def checked his phone and "ran upstairs"

What a cringe listen, he shagged a woman in your bed while you were doing errands with the kids, but SHE'S the massive villain? Okayyyy

trustedadult · 09/09/2026 21:08

But they went away to a lodge, remember.
I was wondering, what her job must be that she's so proud of and how does she afford a house?

The problem is, that the premise of the podcast is really good

just ruined by the presenter 😁😁

Normally, posts complaining about a podcast I haven’t listened to just make me glad I haven’t come across it, but now I’m curious.

trustedadult · 09/09/2026 22:12

@HenriettaHippopotamus lol.
The stories are brilliant the presentation and production are shit, but all of that makes it just compulsive

Its compulsive listening, but she's so very irritating. The guy whose wife ran off with the Egyptian waiter....what was he thinking booking a return holiday to the same resort 😅.

LoafofSellotape · 09/09/2026 22:26

I will have to listen to this!

I'm old enough to rember her presenting kids telly 20 odd years ago!

LittleBinChicken · 09/09/2026 23:11

Poor Anna. I genuinely feel like I know her, I’ve listened to LuAnna for so long. She can be irritating but she’s a good sort. She genuinely loves to help people.

I’ve listened to a few of the earlier episodes of The Affair but to be honest it’s not for me. It’s the stupidity of it all. The number of women who take them back or just are so blindly naive. I can’t cope with it it’s too annoying.

trustedadult · 10/09/2026 05:36

@LoafofSellotape just be ready for all the most annoying mixing of metaphors , her to interrupt every single person, and for her never ask a good therapeutic question.
(And deluded women.)
then you'll love it.

I slightly wanted to scream when, after accidentally getting pregnant at 16, she decided they were going to try for baby number 2, which they had, and then within a very short time, she was pregnant - again, accidentally- with number 3.
Let me guess - this guy won't wear condoms because it ruins it for him.

And for her to never use three words of wisom when seventy will do.

trustedadult · 10/09/2026 06:29

lol and "never judge".

she must be the worlds worst therapist in real life imagine PAYING her.

so agreed about the woman who had three kids before she was like 22 I wonder why her relationship with her parents was strained

I wondered that. She said they were supportive over the first pregnancy, but then later it seemed there were issues there. She obviously didn't feel comfortable going into that on the podcast, but you do wonder if she clung more to him because of that. Or if her staying caused the issues

I did wonder if that’s why her family got a bit fed up with the situation. She got pregnant at 16 but they still lived separately. She managed to get to Uni which is a great achievement in the circumstances but I suspect that was due to a lot of support from her parents looking after the baby. Then when she graduates and can get a job and start standing on her own two feet they decide they’re going to try for another baby. I’m not even sure they were even living together at that point? He was in the military so limited support practically. I wonder if she assumed she would continue to have her parents looking after her children whilst she carried on doing what she wanted and that was the cause of the rift?

Hohofortherobbers · 11/09/2026 23:05

I've got through all the affairs, am now starting on the 'what happened next' so many stories to catch up on 😁
