The guy today is really getting on my wick. It's the way he's pretending that he's so much better than the other men who cheat.

So he claims it isn't about looks for him, and yet, like most men, he's still got an affair partner who is 11 years younger rather than Doris or Maureen who's 20 years older.

When he leaves his wife and she asks if there's another woman, he lies and says no, but it isn't because he's one of those normal lying men; it's because the other woman has nothing to do with him leaving.

Claims his love language is acts of service, cleaning up and putting washes on, but then the next, admits that this is for his own wellbeing and he needs the routine.

And the constant "for sures" which makes me think of those men who say "hundred percent" when they're lying.
The bit where he says other woman would be a phenomenal step-mum... after grumbling at the start about how his wife rushed him into marriage and kids.

Yeah, I'd have liked his wife's perspective on the parenting situation.

Another thing that made me a bit 🤔 was when he said he didn't mind his wife earning far more than him, but then her insistence that she decide how that money was spent annoyed him. Maybe he was right and she was irresponsible with it, but given how self-justifying he was about all his own poor decisions and how patronising he was about his wife, I can imagine there being another story to it.

Went to check in Audible and The Affair podcast is there but not that episode? Maybe he wasn’t who he claimed to be? I thought listening to him he felt a bit disingenuous. A bit too polished and lacking any real emotion. Like an actor playing a role who doesn’t really feel the emotions. I thought it might be because he claimed to have been seeing a therapist for the last 12 years and he got sucked into therapist speak but maybe not??!!
